The traditional learning method is based on the knowledge from teachers in the classroom and the contents of teaching materials.However,such learning method has limitations and can cause students lack motivation for study.Thus,it cannot make the learning serve the practical purpose.The experiential learning mode based on AR technology puts students in the active and primary position,which embodies the essence of education.Students turn their way of studying from passive learning to active learning,and the learning contents become more concrete in a simulation scenario.Thus,students can put what they have learned into practice,their professional skills are enhanced,and can truly master the knowledge.Moreover,students can also increase their life experience while learning and practicing,and realize “Unity of knowledge and Practice” in happiness.This paper explores the experiential learning mode of secondary vocational schools based on the AR technology by using the literature method,the case study method,the statistical analysis method and the interdisciplinary research methods,which provides better teaching methods for the secondary vocational education.The main contents of this paper are described as below.Firstly,it introduces the related theories of the AR technology,including its principles and characteristics,and analyzes the relevant theories of experiential learning models.Through the constructivism theory and humanistic learning theory,the effectiveness and shortcomings of experiential learning application cases are summarized in the paper.Secondly,course "Machinery Manufacturing Basics" is selected as an object of the case study.Based on the actual needs of the course,the feasibility and learning mode of experiential learning is analyzed,and the applications of the AR technology are studied.Also,the experiential learning strategy is designed according to the course requirements.Finally,based on the learning strategy of the AR technology in the course,two classes of students who will study the course in a secondary vocational school are selected.One class(the control group)adopts the traditional learning mode,the other one(the experimental group)adopts the experiential learning mode based on the AR technology.Then,results of two learning modes are compared to verify the effectiveness of the experiential learning strategy based on the AR technology.The analysis on the learning effect between the control group and the experimental group shows that the experiential learning mode based on AR technology can achieve better learning effect,and help to inspire the students' activeness and creativity in learning.Hence,the students' enthusiasm for learning is enhanced.
