Basketball is a popular sport among college students,and it is one of the most popular sports programs in colleges and universities in China.The wide development of basketball in universities is not only conducive to enriching the sports culture of colleges and universities,but also conducive to improving the physical and mental health of college students.Healthy body fitness is an important index that reflects the health status and physical function of college students.This study attempts to explore basketball on college students' health fitness,the effect of the indicators for basketball in university campus and the promotion of college students' health fitness promotion to provide the theory and practice basis.The research mainly adopts the experimental method,in order to Wuhan University of Technology university school freshman and junior undergraduate students as the main body in the test,randomly selected from the freshman class two classes as experimental group,a total of 60 students,including 30 boys and 30 girls.From the big 3 randomly selected 60 students as the control group,to the health of college student's fitness main index(index of body composition,muscle strength,muscular endurance and cardiopulmonary endurance,flexibility,etc.)were measured and analyzed.Results: After 16 weeks of basketball teaching,the fitness level of fitness was changed.In terms of body composition index,the body fat rate decreased significantly,the weight was significantly increased,and the decrease of BMI was obvious.According to the fitness index of muscle strength,the muscle strength of the left and right muscles of the male and female students was improved after the experiment,but the increase was not significant.The back force of the male and female students was all increased.According to the index of grip strength,the weight index of male and female students was significantly improved after the experiment,and the increase was significant.According to the index of muscular endurance fitness,the frequency of 1min push-ups of male students was significantly increased,and the number of sit-ups by female college students increased significantly.According to the fitness index of cardiopulmonary endurance,the heart rate of the male and female students decreased significantly after the experiment.The lung capacity of male and female students increased significantly.Both the MVV and VO2 Max levels of male and female students were significantly improved.According to the index of flexibility and fitness,there was a significant increase in the anterior flexion values of male and female college students after the experiment.In comparison,the former flexion value of male college students is higher than that of female seated body.Research conclusion: through 16 weeks of basketball course can effectively improve the college students body composition,which can help college students keep a good body shape and healthy physique;Basketball can obviously improve the muscle strength and endurance fitness level of college students.The basketball game has a good effect on improving the fitness of cardiopulmonary endurance and flexibility of college students.
