A Experimental Study On The Effect Of "1+1" Exercise Model On Male Obese College Students' Health -Related Physical Fitness

Objective: The paper is to explore the impact of the "1+1" exercise model on male obese college students' Health-related Physical Fitness through the intervention of this model,and provide a set of practical training programs for preventing obesity and promoting obese college students' Health-related Physical Fitness and promote national fitness and healthy development as well.Methods: In this study,20 male obese university students(BMI ? 28)from Jiangxi Water Resources Institute were selected as experimental subjects and randomly divided into experimental group(10 persons)and control group(10 persons).The experimental group carry out a 14-week "1+1" aerobic exercise and strength training exercise intervention;the control group do not participate in any activity exercises.Subjects' body height,body weight,percentage of body fat,body mass index(BMI),and bone mineral density are measured before and after intervention,and body shape indicators such as chest circumference,waist circumference,hip circumference,waist-to-hip ratio,etc.are measured.Cardiopulmonary function tests(heart rate,systolic blood pressure,diastolic pressure,vital capacity,and step index)and physical fitness tests(sit and reach,closed eye standing on one foot,reaction time,grip force,standing long jump,sit-ups,50 meters and 50 meters ×8 round-trip)and other healthy fitness levels.At the same time,the psychological test of the experimental group is conducted through the Symptom Checklist SCL-90.Result:(1)After 14 weeks' "1+1" sports intervention,weight of obese college students drop from 101.42±6.89(kg)to 88.73 ± 5.45(kg)(P<0.01),BMI drop from 35.1 ± 3.7(kg/m2)to 32.3 ± 3.4.(kg/m2)(P<0.01);body fat percentage decreases significantly(P<0.01);bone mineral density increases from-0.46 to 0.39 after the intervention.Although the bone mineral density increases,but it was not statistically significant(P>0.05).(2)After14 weeks' "1+1" sports intervention,obese college students' chest circumference decreases from 101.30 ± 5.41(cm)to 99.43 ± 4.51(cm)(P>0.05);waist circumference decreases from 99.32 ± 7.11(cm)to 94.63±6.44(cm)(P<0.01);hip circumference decreases to104.33±6.41(cm)from 108.41±6.87(cm)(P<0.01);waist-to-hip ratio decreases from0.92±0.06 to 0.9±0.04(P<0.05).).However,after 14 weeks,there was a slight increase in various indicators of body shape of the control group,which are of no big difference.(P>0.05).(3)After 14 weeks' "1+1" sports intervention,the changes of cardiopulmonary function of obese college students are: resting heart rate decreases from77.01±7.68(bp/min)to 72.51±5.11(bp/min)(P<0.01);vital capacity increases from3018.39±598.06(ml)to 4001.62±541.12(ml)(P<0.01),and the step test index increases from62.69±6.71 to 64.17±6.66(P<0.05).SBP and DBP remain stable(P>0.05).(4)After 14 weeks of "1+1" sports intervention,the changes of Health-related Physical Fitness index of obese college students are: mean value of Sit and Reach increases from 5.86±5.10 cm to9.58±5.21cm(P<0.01);the standing time on one leg increases from 5.89±5.64 s to10.34±6.12s(P<0.01);the reaction time decreases from 598.11±104.53 ms to453.30±110.24ms(P<0.01);the grip strength increases from 34.30±5.41 kg to 45.41± 5.67kg(P<0.01);standing long jump increases to 2.19±0.21 m from 1.99±0.16m;sit-up increases from 19.72±8.51(pieces/min)to 31.35±9.34(pieces/min)(P<0.01);50 m Rice time decreases from 9.67±1.55 s to 8.46±1.26s(P<0.01);50m×8 round-trip decreases from 90.81±5.47 s to76.32±6.01s(P<0.01).(5)After 14 weeks of "1+1" sports exercise,the SCL-90 test of the Symptom Checklist shows that there is a significant decrease in the 10 factor scores(P <0.05).Conclusion:(1)Intervention of "1+1" exercise mode can significantly improve the body composition and body shape of obese college students,reduce the degree of obesity and increase bone density,and thus lead to good weight loss and enhance physical fitness.(2)Intervention of "1+1" exercise model can significantly improve the cardiopulmonary function and physical fitness of obese college students.(3)The intervention of "1+1" exercise model can significantly improve the level of mental health of obese college students,expand interpersonal relationship,regulate spirit and improve sleep and diet.
