While people’s consumption level is improving, their lifestyle is also changing. The obesity rate of college students is increasing year by year, sedentary, bad lifestyle and so on have caused different degrees of trouble to college students.College period is an important period for life development,as well as a key period for college students to learn knowledge and grow up healthily. The physical quality of college students is related to the rise and fall of a country. It is particularly important to have a good lifestyle to ensure good health.Physical fitness is one of the methods to evaluate the state of health, which can effectively reflect the state of body health and provide guidance for college students to choose a reasonable way of activity.Purpose:This study evaluates college students’ physique from the perspective of physical fitness.By observing the influence of different effective training measures on college students’ physical fitness indexes, the differences between them are investigated,so as to provide a reference for college students to choose a scientific and reasonable way of fitness activities. Methods:A total of 248 freshmen majoring in non-physical education in Wuming Campus of Nanning Normal University were randomly divided into 1 control group and 3 experimental groups. The intervention period was 8 weeks. The control group received normal public physical education teaching, experiment group 1 received weekly after-class fitness activities, experiment group 2 received twice weekly after-class fitness activities, and experiment group 3 received regular after-class fitness activities three times a week.Body composition, cardiopulmonary fitness, muscle fitness and flexibility fitness indexes of the subjects were tested before and after the experiment.Paired sample t-test and one-way analysis of variance were used to find the differences between the subjects.Results:1 、 Body composition was evaluated by body mass index(BMI)and waist-to-hip ratio(WHR).The intra-group comparison data showed that there was a significant difference in WHR among the three groups before and after the experiment(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in BMI and WHR among the other groups(P>0.05).Before the experiment, there were no significant differences in body composition(P>0.05)between the two groups. After the experiment,WHR of girls in experimental group 3 was significantly different from that in control group(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in other groups(P>0.05).2、Cardiopulmonary fitness was evaluated by two indexes: vital capacity and walking one mile. The intra-group comparison data showed that there were significant differences in the two indexes of experimental group 3 before and after the experiment(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in the other groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the two indexes of cardiopulmonary fitness(P>0.05)between the two groups before the experiment. After the experiment, there were significant differences between the two indexes of experimental group 3 and the control group(P<0.05),significant differences between the two indexes of experimental group 3 and experimental group 1(P<0.05),significant differences between the lung capacity of experimental group 3 and experimental group 1 and experimental group 2(P<0.05),and no significant differences between the other groups(P>0.05).3、Muscle fitness was evaluated by standing long jump, grip strength and push-ups.The intra-group comparison data showed that there were significant differences in push-ups in experimental group 2 before and after the experiment(P<0.05),there were significant differences in three indexes in experimental group 3(P<0.05),and there were no significant differences in other groups(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in three indexes of muscle fitness among groups before the experiment(P>0.05).Experiment after experiment three groups of three indicators compared with the control group with significant difference(P<0.05),experiment 3 standing long jump, grip strength and experiment 1 group with significant difference(P<0.05),experiment 3 boys push-ups and experiment 1 group, two groups have significant difference(P<0.05),the rest of the group was no significant difference(P>0.05).4、Flexibility and fitness were evaluated by flexion index of sitting body. The intra-group comparison data showed that there were significant differences in the indexes of experimental group 3 before and after the experiment(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in the other groups(P>0.05).The results showed that there was no significant difference in the flexibility and fitness indexes of each group before the experiment(P>0.05).After the experiment, there was a significant difference between experimental group 3 and the control group(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference between the other groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:1、Public PE class once a week has no significant effect on college students’ health and fitness. The extracurricular fitness activity once a week could not significantly improve the level of healthy physical fitness;Extracurricular fitness activities twice a week can improve the level of muscle endurance;Extracurricular regular fitness activities three times a week can improve the fitness level of heart and lung, muscle and flexibility of college students. At the same time,it can significantly reduce the WHR index of female college students, but has no significant effect on the BMI index of male and female students.2、Three times a week,60 minutes each time, lasting for 8 weeks,a total of 1440 minutes of moderate intensity regular fitness activities can be used as an effective training measure to guide college students to participate in extracurricular sports activities.
