Empirical Study On The Correlation Between University Scientific Research Competition And University Library Development Level

Universities are knowledge research and scientific research innovation bases which are the important place for scientific research.Universities are an indispensable part of national research innovation system,which have a major impact on regional and national economic development.The resources and services of the library provide strong support for the scientific research activities in colleges and universities.Under the background of “Double-First Class”,combing the relationship and assessing the actual development status between library resource construction,scientific research services and competitiveness,and exploring the relationship between the competitiveness of scientific research and the development of the library are of great practical significance to explore the law and path of the development of the scientific research competitiveness and the integration of the library.First of all,the research mainly revolves the relationship between scientific research competitiveness and library development,and uses literature analysis to sort out the theoretical basis of the relationship between them.Based on existing domestic and foreign research results,we have established an index system for university libraries development level and university research competitiveness.These indicators measure the overall development level of university libraries and colleges and universities as much as possible.The indicator system follows the principles of operability and representativeness and the data is available,collectible,quantifiable,processable,and comparable.Secondly,using factor analysis to analyze the relationship between university research competitiveness and the library,it is initially concluded that they have a certain degree of coordination.Thirdly,using the panel data to analyze the correlation between university research competitiveness and the library which is to obtain the correlation coefficient,and quantitatively analyze the law of them.Meanwhile,we construct the econometric models of both and explore the development relationships and the elements that affect each other.Finally,combining the research results and practical status of the relationship between university research competitiveness and university libraries at the macro level.We discuss the problems existing in the process of upgrading the scientific research capacity of university colleges and universities and analyze the reasons.Based on a deep understanding of the interaction mechanism between university libraries and research capacity in universities and combining with the “Double-First Class” strategy,we will explore counter measures and suggestions for coordinating the development of university libraries development level and university research competitiveness by focusing on basic functions,enriching library resources,developing characteristic services and strengthening interlibrary cooperation,and enhancing scientific research collaboration innovation capabilities.
