With the rapid development of society,the competition between countries becomes more and more fierce,innovation ability has become an unavoidable topic to promote development,and it is also the inevitable requirement of cultivating talents in the new era.Critical thinking ability is the foundation of innovation ability,which is paid more and more attention by various countries.In our country,the Standard of Geography Curriculum in General Senior High School(experiment)explicitly requires the development of student critical thinking,the exposure of students to various points of view,the debate on issues,and the boldness of putting forward their own views.Develop student critical thinking need to be step by step.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to how to develop critical thinking more effectively in middle school teaching.This article regards geography teaching of senior one as the research object,through the questionnaire investigation and the SOLO layered evaluation method to understand the present situation of the critical thinking ability training,then carries on the teaching training experiment through the teaching experiment method to the teaching design case,and then carries out the teaching training experiment according to the teaching design case.The training effect is evaluated through the analysis of academic achievement and the situation of answering questions.Finally,the strategies to strengthen the cultivation of critical thinking ability in the teaching of geography in senior one are summarized.The main results are:(1)Teachers should improve their own quality,learn more knowledge about critical thinking ability,and raise the upper limit of cultivating student critical thinking ability;(2)Improving the teaching method based on the teaching method,change the traditional teaching design,pay attention to the exercises which we ignored in the past for the different types of classes and design of different teaching plans.(3)Teachers should evaluate students in many ways,not only the achievement,but also the student another abilities.Student critical thinking ability can be judged by SOLO hierarchical evaluation method,which makes teacher evaluation more objective.(4)Students should cultivate the habit of thinking,learn to look for the key knowledge points in dealing with complex problems,connect the knowledge points in a reasonable way,and think about the problems from many angles.At the same time,teachers should choose suitable topics for students to strengthen the training of student thinking ability.(5)It is not effective for students to do problems at the multi-point structure level and the related point structure level,so they need to study these types of topics in depth and think about how the knowledge points are integrated.In the process of solving problems,we need how to use them to solve problems,and students need to exercise and think more frequently.
