Research On Parent-child Communication In Troubled Families Through Case Work

With the development of society,people's yearning for a better life and their expectation for family also increase,and parent-child relationship has attracted people's attention.Communication is the basic way of social survival and development,and parent-child communication is the foundation of family life and development.In the process of family development,it is inevitable that families will encounter various difficulties.Under the influence of difficulties,the communication between parents and children will become more acute.In this study,participatory observation,structured interview and unstructured interview were used to collect data on parent-child communication in distressed families,and it was found that family changes,inadaptability to new environment,economic pressure,adverse marital relationship and other predicaments would all bring certain influences on parent-child communication.According to the situation of parent-child communication in troubled families,this study,guided by the theory of rational emotional therapy,selects F family with serious parent-child communication problems for case intervention.Take the parents and children as the service objects,understand the parent-child communication problems of F family in Guangta street,and find out five problems of the client's family: busy with livelihood,less time for parent-child communication;The content of communication is single and mainly focused on learning;The client is dominant and the communication is one-sided.Lack of emotional communication;Parent-child conflict.According to the problem assessment,the client's family needs to adjust cognitive and behavioral needs,emotional management needs,effective communication needs,link resources and improve the living environment needs,and make corresponding service goals and plans.The case intervention is divided into five stages,mainly focusing on cognitive adjustment,behavioral counseling and emotional management to reduce parent-child conflicts in the client's family,help them master communication skills and promote parent-child communication.Finally,summarize the results achieved in practice,reflect on the shortcomings,it is suggested to take the children as the starting point,grasp the scale of the case and help troubled families to label,hoping to provide a reference for social work to intervene in family parent-child communication in difficult situations.
