On May 2,2018,general secretary Xi Jinping stressed on higher education:"higher education is an important symbol of a country's development level and potential.Taking the road of connotative development is the only way for the development of higher education in China.However,undergraduate education,as the"foundation of life" and "foundation of development" of China's higher education,has become an inevitable choice to implement the quality of China's higher education by paying attention to the learning behavior of undergraduates and the learning effect of undergraduates.Based on the reality that the current situation of college students' classroom learning engagement is in urgent need of improvement,the author believes that it is necessary to investigate the situation of undergraduate students' classroom learning engagement,find out the existing problems,analyze the reasons and find out countermeasures.Based on the "provincial normal university undergraduate classroom study into the status and influence factors of research" topic of school-based research,the undergraduate classroom learning into the questionnaire as research tools,combined with interviews,classroom observation and other research methods,from the cognition,emotion,behavior three dimensions explore undergraduate classroom studyinto the status quo and existing problems and reasons,and the undergraduate classroom learning into analyzing the differences of population and demographic variables.The research content is divided into six parts: the first part is the introduction,including research background,research significance,literature review,definition of core concepts and research methods;The second part mainly explains the theoretical basis of undergraduate learning engagement in class.The third part mainly investigates the status quo of undergraduate classroom learning engagement.The fourth part analyzes the problems existing in undergraduate learning engagement in class.The fifth part discusses the factors affecting undergraduate learning engagement.The sixth part gives Suggestions for the problems.Through the research,the following conclusions are drawn: the overall level of undergraduate classroom learning engagement is general,and the best level of engagement is behavioral engagement,followed by emotional engagement,and finally cognitive engagement.There are no significant differences in the cognition,emotion and behavior of undergraduate classroom learning in terms of gender,grade and major,but there are differences in different degrees in the specific problems within the three dimensions(see the text for details).The problems of undergraduates' learning engagement in class are: superficial knowledge learning and lack of deep understanding;Unreasonable use of disposable time in class;Lack of reflection and summary of knowledge;Lack of interest in learning,lack of happiness;Difficult to adhere to long-term;Poor attention;Lack of active discussion in class;Teachers and students interact in a single way.In view of the problems existing in undergraduate learning engagement in class,the following Suggestions are put forward: focus on the cultivation of learning strategies to improve students' learning autonomy;Stimulate students' interest in learning and cultivate their intrinsic learning motivation;Advocating class discussion and cultivating students' sense of collective responsibility;Improve teachers' interesting teaching ability;Perfecting the assessment mechanism and paying attention to the process evaluation of students;Create a harmonious campus culture,improve the learning atmosphere on campus.
