As a guide of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the teaching behavior of the teacher has a significant impact on the students' learning of Chinese,which is an important factor that affects the quality of teaching and the learning effect of the students.The encouraging behavior of teacher,as a kind of classroom teaching behavior,also directly affects the learning attitude,motivation,self-confidence and other emotional factors of students as well as the teaching effect,classroom atmosphere,the relationship between teacher and students,etc..It can be seen that most teachers have recognized the positive role of encouragement in teaching with the widespread advocating of "appreciation education".However,it also appears the phenomenon of abuse and misusing of encouragement,in which some teachers' encouragement is mechanical and superficial.As a result,it can't have a good effect for the encouragement.In order to ensure the exertion of teachers' encouraging effect,Chinese teachers should be good at conducting regular self-examination,understand and find out the problems existing in the current situation of encouraging words,and pay attention to them.Thus,teachers can further analyze the causes and summarize the countermeasures to improve encouraging implementation.Teachers' correct and proper implementation of encouraging behaviors can help stimulate students' learning motivation and other emotional factors,create a lively and friendly atmosphere for Chinese learning,and establish close teacher-student relations,thus improving the quality of Chinese teaching.In order to find out the problems existing in the implementation of teachers' encouraging behaviors and put forward improvement measures,the author based on her own practical experience in teaching in primary and secondary schools in Thailand,and combined with 50 Chinese teachers assigned by Mandarin Education School Saraburi to the school of Anuban Saraburi and Mala School as well as 227 primary and secondary school students from the two schools as the survey objects to carry out the research.First of all,the author starts from the connotation of teachers' encouraging behaviors,summarizes the previous classification ofencouraging behaviors,and re-summarizes and supplements the types of encouraging behaviors according to the unique situation of Thai students.Through questionnaires,interviews and classroom observation,the author summarized the survey results.The author analyzes and summarizes seven main problems,including: teachers do not actively implement encouragement,the frequency of encouragement is low,the method is single and lacks change and innovation,the situation is too limited,the content is not comprehensive and specific,the encouragement cannot be accurately conveyed and the encouragement is not timely.The author analyzes and summarizes the seven reasons for the problems in the use of teachers' encouraging behaviors,which mainly include: teachers lack sufficient and systematic theoretical guidance,teachers' accomplishment needs to be further improved,teachers lack correct understanding of encouraging behaviors,teachers lack correct understanding of students' needs,lack of reflective and innovative spirit,control ability of teaching rhythm and content needs to be improved,and overseas teachers face multiple pressures such as heavy workload and inadaptability.And finally puts forward nine countermeasures to improve the encouragement behavior according to the problems and reasons in the use of teachers' encouragement behavior and the actual situation of Thai Chinese teaching.These countermeasures correspond to the problems found above,including: loving students and sincerely and enthusiastically implementing encouragement,flexibly and differentially implementing encouragement,grasping the credibility and strength of encouragement,grasping the density of encouragement,paying attention to the use of diversified encouragement,grasping the best opportunity of encouragement,improving teachers' quality and teaching enthusiasm,setting up correct encouragement concepts and strengthening training and reflection and innovation of encouragement.
