Poverty has always been related to social development and people's happiness.Poor families have problems in children's education and social interaction.The existence of a large number of poor families shows that there are a considerable number of poor children.Children are the guarantee of a country's future and national prosperity.It is difficult for poor children to reach the level of children from wealthier families of the same age in both material and spiritual aspects.Material scarcity makes it difficult to guarantee the basic rights of poor children in the fields of quality of life,health care and education;material scarcity also makes poor children more prone to psychological problems than their peers,deviations in self-perception,low self-esteem,fear of interpersonal interaction,etc.Among them,poverty leads to the problems caused by children's inferiority complex,which need us in particular.Concern.Inferiority refers to that when people's physical or ability deficiencies are mocked,belittled and insulted by people in the surrounding environment,they will strengthen the individual's sensitive and fragile inferiority complex,which can be manifested in violent acts,evasion,rage,crying and so on.Children living in poor families are vulnerable to stigmatization and labelling.At the same time,accompanied by self-denial and lack of emotional support from their parents in the growing environment,they are prone to inferiority complex,which is manifested in the following aspects: serious negative thoughts,easy to escape,resist or even deny themselves in case of trouble;more prone to isolation,inferiority,indifference and other mental disorders.Obstacles,lack of social communication ability,are extremely vulnerable to marginalization.At the same time,it lacks the necessary social communication skills,which is very harmful to children's physical and mental development.Through screening the students' archives information of the Educational Administration Department of X Primary School,the author selected 20 children from poverty-stricken families in grade 4-6.According to the evaluation criteria of SES Self-Confidence Measurement Questionnaire,through the questionnaire survey of 20 children from grade 4 to grade 6,it was found that 13 of them scored in the range of "inferiors".At the same time,through interviews and observations with children from poverty-stricken families,it was found that they had the same scores.The general manifestation of inferiority complex is as follows: First,self-doubt is extremely easy to deny oneself.He is very concerned about others' evaluation of himself.He is sensitive to laughter,speech and other information from people around him.He is easy to catch the wind and overinterpret other people's speech information.Even if the people around him are not talking about him,he also feels that he is not recognized and accepted,thus further denying himself.Secondly,it has the psychological state of avoidance,timidity and cowardice.Over-shyness and shyness are also the manifestations of inferiority complex,with the characteristics of shyness,prone to inner loneliness and fantasy.Thirdly,they often attract the attention of people around them by complaining or crying,or even by violence.The inferiority behavior of children from poor families is caused by their irrational beliefs.ABC theory emphasizes that "emotional distress is not usually caused by an objective event itself,but by one's belief system",therefore,the reason for inferiority is the irrational belief of children in themselves.Based on ABC personality theory and social learning theory,this paper uses group work method to intervene in the inferiority complex of children from poor rural families.Through five group activities,"I'm a little painter",you and I first met;"Tell the world my best" my secret treasure box;"Star to the sea" my best;I am in,so I embark on a new expedition;Cheng Zhi I have my dream.Change the original irrational beliefs of poor children,satisfy their self-identification,strengthen interpersonal communication,get emotional support,and enhance their self-confidence.Effectiveness evaluation is carried out from four aspects: goal achievement evaluation,satisfaction evaluation of service objects,self-evaluation of social workers and supervision evaluation.By comparing the scores of SES self-confidence scale before and after the intervention,it is found that children's self-confidence scores have reached the "self-confident" score level.Through the implementation and summary of the project,it proves that the group work has indeed changed in intervening in the inferiority complex of children from poor families.
