In recent years,functional training has emerged as the most popular research topic,and has achieved good results in improving athletic performance,improving the body function of athletes,technical movements,and preventing sports injuries.In this paper,there are technical and dysfunctional problems in the 110 m hurdle race for the second-level athletes in the hurdle race.The main research is on the functional training of the hurdle step technique.Using the methods of literature,expert interviews,experimental methods,etc.,six athletes of the 110-meter hurdles were selected to participate in the experiment.The functional training theory was combined with the hurdling training theory.According to the characteristics of the two,combined with the actual situation of the athletes.Develop a master plan for functional training of hurdle step techniques and implement a training plan.By analyzing the changes of the parameters of the athletes’ hurdles before and after training,the influence of functional training on the hurdle step technique was discussed.The aim is to further enrich the theory and training methods of hurdles and provide some reference for related research.The results of the study showed that the average scores of 30 meters,100 meters,standing three-level jumps and post-throwing solid balls in the six athletes’ physical fitness test items were 0.02 seconds,0.09 seconds,0.09 meters and 0.20 meters respectively.The average score of the functional action screening was increased by 2.50 points,and the average score of the 110 meter column was increased by 0.36 seconds.In the hurdle step technical indicators,the distance of the hurdle,the angle of the rear squat,the knee angle of the swinging leg,the anteversion angle of the trunk,the maximum anteversion angle,the highest point of the vacant space,the distance of the lower column,the angle of the ground,and the instantaneous torso angle of the landing occur before the training.Significant changes,the values are closer to the ideal value.The hurd step length of the six athletes did not change significantly before the training,but the athlete’s attack distance was longer and the lower column distance was shortened,which was in line with the requirement of the hurdle step technique to emphasize the "far-distance close-up".Through the analysis of the research results,the following conclusions are drawn:1.Functional training can improve the control ability,coordination ability,flexibility and stability,explosive force and speed ability of athletes’ body,and promote their hurdling skills to be improved significantly.Functional training is helpful to improve the hurdling performance of 110-meter hurdles second-level athletes.2.Functional training is mainly based on the development of physical function,to supplement the short boards of athletes’ physical function,and to lay a stable foundation for athletes’ special physical training.Its ultimate purpose is to improve athletes’ competitive ability and sports performance.3.According to the technical characteristics and functional training theory of hurdle step,the training contents can be divided into: movement mode training,upper and lower limb strength training,core stability training,explosive strength training,flexibility training.
