With the development of badminton in China,the foundation of the public badminton sports is increasingly strong,and the demand for talents related to badminton is increasing.The colleges and universities are an important base for the training of badminton talents,in order to further improve the quality of badminton special training and improve their social service capabilities..This paper takes the badminton special course of physical education major in colleges and universities in Guangdong as the research object,and through the methods of literature data,questionnaire survey,telephone interview,field survey,mathematical statistics,comparative analysis,logical induction,etc.,to South China Normal University,Guangzhou University,Guangdong Second Normal College,Shaoguan College,Lingnan Normal College,Hanshan Teachers College,Jiaying College,7 colleges and universities in Guangdong Province,the development of badminton special courses for physical education and the problems in the curriculum development,And put forward corresponding countermeasures.The research results are as follows:1.The teaching objectives of the badminton special course for physical education majors in colleges and universities in Guangdong Province are clear,mainly the teaching of special technology,and the theory and research are less involved.2.the teaching content of the badminton special course has little difference in selectivity,lack of diversity,heavy technology,light theory;physical training and athlete psychological training are only available in South China Normal University,and only South China Normal University and Lingnan Normal University are in terms of skill training content.The college is involved.3.There are few arrangements for college badminton special classes,and there is no unified distribution of teaching materials.Teachers are mainly based on traditional teaching methods,and the teaching methods are relatively simple.4.There is less investment in badminton venue facilities in colleges and universities.The equipment quality of badminton courts needs to be improved.The badminton courts are not able to meet the needs of badminton special courses.The number of teachers,professional titles,academic qualifications,and athletes' technical grades are well-structured.They have the basic ability to teach badminton special courses for college physical education majors,but there are few opportunities forprofessional skills training after teachers enter the job.5.The curriculum assessment is too subjective,and only pays attention to technical assessment,which is not conducive to cultivating the needs of all-round contemporary college students;there are contradictions between students' desire for badminton technology improvement and realistic goals.The implementation of badminton curriculum is not satisfactory.6.Optimize the teaching content,add physical fitness training,athletes' psychological training and sports injuries and preventive lessons.Teachers should teach students according to their aptitude and reflect individual differences;improve curriculum implementation,increase investment in badminton venue facilities,improve venue quality,and strengthen venue management.Pay attention to the professional and technical training of teachers after the job;adjust the content of course evaluation,combine subjective evaluation with process evaluation,combine qualitative and quantitative evaluation,and strengthen the assessment of students' comprehensive ability.
