With the advance of globalization,all countries are aware of the important role of education in the international competition,and pay more and more attention to education.At the same time,the exchange and cooperation in education between various countries are gradually increasing.The educational exchange between China and Britain has been more than 160 years old.In process of time,it became more frequent and further.In 2015,the British Broadcasting Corporation shot a documentary Are our kids tough enough?Chinese school,which is about comparing the basic education model of China and Britain.The cultural conflicts reflected in the collision between Chinese education model that the five Chinese teachers represent and British educational model has caused people's heated discussion.Introduction The first chapter briefly introduces the content of the documentary and it's shooting background,and present research situation of the documentary,and the content and purpose of this research.The second chapter firstly summarizes and analyzes the characteristics of the basic education mode of China and Britain which presented in the documentary,and then collating the cultural conflicts presented in the documentary,such as the conflict in the education way,code of conduct and teacher's role cognition from the perspective of five teachers.In the third chapter,analyzing the causes of cultural conflicts mainly use Geert Hofstede's culture dimension theory and Edward.T.Hall's high and low-context culture theory.The fourth chapter draws some inspirations from this education exchange and puts forward corresponding Suggestions for the intercultural teaching in China and Britain.
