An Analysis Of The Reasons For Senior High School Students To Choose School In Different Places

In the past two decades,the issue of school choice has been a continuing concern.Because of the imbalance of educational resources and regional differences,most of the schools of students' origin can not meet the parents' pursuit of high-quality resources,and there is still a family-based school choice.Studying the reasons of high school students' choices of schools in different places is conducive to the solution of the problem of individual choosing schools and the effective reform of education balance.High school students in Chuxiong Autonomous Prefecture choose schools in different places,D Highschool is the most representative.Among many county-level senior high schools,It is popular that many students who come from different places will choose the D Highschool in the whole prefecture and the number of students choosing this school has increased year by year.This study,taking D Highschool of Chuxiong Autonomous Prefecture as an example,investigates the reasons and influencing factors of high school students' school choice in different places in Chuxiong Autonomous Prefecture through 282 questionnaires,8 teachers and 5 parents' interviews.Focusing on the theme of the reasons why high school students choose schools in different places,this paper collects a large amount of data through questionnaires and interviews,makes an analysis and research on the increasingly obvious phenomenon of school choice in D Highschool for many years,and clarifies the factors that affect the students' choice of D Highschool in different places.This article is divided into three parts,the first chapter is the first part: explaining the reasons for choosing the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,research methods,research design,related literature review,research concept limitation and research theoretical basis.The second part is the second,third and fourth chapters: chapter two elaborates the current situation of Chuxiong D Highschool,including the history and concept of D Highschool,the characteristics of D Highschool.Chapter three investigates the reasons why students choose schools in different places from seven aspects: the basic situation of students and their parents,students' understanding of their own education and achievements,students' motivation to study in D Highschool,students' evaluation of teachers' teaching,students' learning and psychological changes after school selection,learning motivation and peer education.Chapter Four analyses the factors that influence the students' choice of D Highschool and puts forward solutions.The last part is the conclusion part,which summarizes the reflection and Prospect of this study.This study considers that high school students' school choice in different places is caused by regional school differences and uneven distribution of educational resources.It is the natural choice for parents and students to pursue high-quality education.The basic reason for high school students' school choice in different places is the insufficient supply of high-quality high school education.This study draws the following conclusions: Firstly,on the whole,most of the students who choose D Highschool are from workers' and peasants' families,and most of their parents are primary and secondary school educated.Therefore,the income level,education and working environment of workers' and peasants' families make students want to change,want to go to better schools,get better grades,and prepare for a better job.Secondly,the main reasons why students from different places choose to study in D Highschool are that D Highschool has strict school management,good learning atmosphere and high rate of entrance.The excellent quality,good learning habits and serious learning attitude of the students around the school play an exemplary role.Teachers' teaching quality and students' friendship make students become the best "spokespersons" of the school after graduation.Thirdly,the admission policy,the idea of running a school,the teaching methods,the teachers and the recognition of all sectors of society of D Highschool are the factors that affect the students' choice of D Highschool.
