A Study On The Current Situation And Countermeasure Of Table Tennis Development

In 2018,Chinese characteristics socialism has entered a new era of its development.For a country,the competition of integration strength refers to the talent competition for all-round development of morality,intelligence,physical fitness,beauty and labor,which gathers talents from all over the world.This requires college students not only to have solid theoretical knowledge,but also to have a strong physical abilities.Table tennis,as a traditional dominant sport in our country,has always been a favorite sport in the minds of the common people,because of its great or small intensity,flexibility and high interest.Nowadays,table tennis has been included in the national education curriculum.At present,table tennis has encountered many problems in the process of the development of colleges and universities in full swing.With the expansion of enrollment in Colleges and universities,the contradiction between the increasing demand of students' desires to participate in table tennis and the lack of school education resources is deepening.Therefore,seeking the development strategy of table tennis in colleges and universities in Kunming plays a vital role in promoting the development of table tennis,the optimization and upgrading of College sports and the comprehensive implementation of quality education.This paper takes the current situation of table tennis development in Kunming's colleges and universities as the research object,and takes 960 students and 16 teachers from 8 colleges and universities in Kunming as the research object,and conducts a survey on the current situation of table tennis in Kunming's colleges and universities by using the methods of documentation,questionnaire,expert interview,mathematical statistics,logical analysis,induction and deduction,SWTO analysis and other research methods.Finally,the SWOT analysis method is used to analyze and summarize the factors affecting the development,and the relevant development countermeasures.The following are the results:(1)As our country's national sport,the people have a high concern for this sport.Since it was introduced into China,it has developed rapidly,and is also has been a traditional physical education curriculum in Colleges and universities because of its high popularity.The amount of exercise can be large or small,and students of different majors can participate in it.It is deeply loved by college students in Kunming,making it an internal advantage of developing table tennis in Colleges and universities in Kunming.(2)The shortage of hardware facilities,equipment and facilities,teachers,the simplicity of teaching mode and less-organized table tennis competitions have been one of the main factors restricting the rapid development of table tennis in Kunming colleges and universities.(3)Kunming,as the capital city of Yunnan Province,is a famous historical and cultural city in China.It is an important open city facing South Asia and Southeast Asia in China,with obvious geographical advantages.In addition,Kunming gathers a large number of key universities in Yunnan Province,with a strong learning atmosphere and a large number of talented people,which also provides a great potential space for the development of table tennis in ordinary colleges and universities in Kunming.(4)In recent years,China's table tennis has entered an important period of reform and transformation.Old players often are facing awkward conditions.The young players in competitions is lacking of experience,so frequent failures in international competitions lead to the decline of Chinese people's morale towards table tennis.Secondly,the vigorous propaganda and promotion of cheer leading,yoga courses and other similar projects in ordinary colleges and universities,to a certain extent,restricted the development of table tennis in ordinary colleges and universities in Kunming.(5)In view of the problems that restrict the development of table tennis in Kunming's colleges and universities,this paper puts forward the following suggestions:increasing the investment of funds,improving the facilities of venues and facilities,and building a good management system,optimizing the teaching content and curriculum,innovating the teaching mode,paying attention to the cultivation of table tennis teachers' special abilities,strengthening the teaching staff,strengthening the construction of table tennis teams in Colleges and universities,and strengthening the construction of table tennis associations in Colleges and universities.It will build up strength,increase table tennis competitions,promote exchanges between colleges and universities,and enhance the campus sports culture atmosphere.
