In the context of globalization,talents have gradually become an important strategic resource in international competition.As an important part of China's higher education,postgraduate education plays a huge role in the cultivation of high-level talents.The relationship between supervisors and postgraduate students,as one of the most significant interpersonal relationships in the postgraduate education stage,is a key factor affecting the quality of postgraduate education.A favorable supervisor-postgraduate relationship can create a good atmosphere of communication,stimulate the intrinsic potential,as well as improve the quality of postgraduate students.In recent years,with the enrollment expansion of the postgraduate students,the news in regard to the contradictions and conflicts between supervisors and postgraduate students has been frequently reported.The deterioration supervisor-postgraduate relationship will inevitably affect the quality of postgraduate training.Therefore,the research of the relationship between supervisor-postgraduate cannot be ignored.This study selects 50 supervisors and 350 postgraduate students from six universities in Xi'an as respondents.In this study,questionnaire survey and interview were adopted as research methods and SPSS statistical analysis software were used to analyze survey data.The study,from two aspects of supervisors and students,investigates the current situation of the relationship between supervisor-postgraduate,as well as analyzes the factors affecting the relationship.The aim is to provide certain reference for promoting the relationship between supervisor-postgraduate.Through the investigation,the research conclusions are as follows: The overall evaluation of the current supervisor-postgraduate relationship is relatively high,in which the satisfaction of scientific research is a little bit lower than the others.The current supervisor system for academic postgraduates is mainly based on a single-supervisor system,and the recognition of the group-supervisor system is relatively high.The main type of supervisor-postgraduate relationship is simple academic guidance,and the type of scientific cooperation is the most ideal one.In terms of key factors that affect the relationship between supervisors and postgraduates,the focus on the supervisor-postgraduate communication,the reasonable degree of research compensation,the way to addressing the differences and friction is the primary factors that affect the relationship.Accordingly,the author,from the perspective of theory of communicative action and humanistic learning theory,puts forward that the promotion the relationship between supervisors and postgraduate students should be clear in their own position,reconstruct the authority of the tutor,adopt network technology,improve systems and criteria,establish coordination organization,and attach importance to moral education.
