Recet,the state has strongly encouraged citizens to participate in fitness.With the official promulgation and development of document 46,the power of examination and approval of the event has been opened,which brings a new spring for the development of Marathon sport and a boom for the organization of Marathon sport in the whole country.Marathon sport has a huge scale and a wide range of participants because of its own functions.Generally speaking,the impact on the city is mainly manifested in improving the overall pride of the city from the inside and forming the cohesion of the city.Externally,it promotes the further display of the city's history and culture in front of the world and improves the overall image of the city.Marathon events and the image of the city gradually merge into one,and they develop and progress together.Based on the methods of documentation,questionnaire,mathematical statistics and logical analysis,this paper takes the athletes,staff,spectators and residents who participated in the Hangzhou Marathon in 2018 as the objects of investigation.From the perspective of participants,this paper studies the cultural characteristics of the marathon and the characteristics of the city's behavior image,and further discusses the two aspects.This paper tries to improve the theoretical framework of the relationship between sports events culture and city image,and provide theoretical basis for better utilization of Marathon events in cities to promote the development of city image.The conclusions are as follows:(1)In terms of the cultural characteristics of Hangzhou Marathon,there are no significant differences between different genders,and there are significant differences among different ages,educational background,occupation and monthly income.Among them,the highest average value is material culture,which fully reflects the charm of Hangzhou and perfectly interprets the honor of "the most beautiful track".(2)There are no significant differences in the characteristics of urban behavior image between different genders,and there are significant differences among different age,educational background,occupation and monthly income groups.The overallaverage value of urban behavior image is higher.This echoes the reputation of Hangzhou as "the city of leisure" and "the city of quality of life".(3)In terms of the cultural characteristics of Hangzhou Marathon and the index system of city behavior image,there is a positive correlation between material culture and city behavior image;there is a positive correlation between system culture and city behavior image;there is no correlation between spirit culture of Hangzhou Marathon and city behavior image.
