| Language carries thinking.Mathematical language is an important tool in mathematics.Mathematical language can make the problem expression concise and easy to understand.Its concise expression is rich in logic and accuracy.The precise expression of mathematical language can improve students’ logical reasoning ability and make their mathematical thinking more profound.The compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard puts forward the requirement of mathematics expression in the second section,which can clearly express the thinking process and results of mathematics problems.In this paper,aiming at the senior pupils of primary school,starting from several forms of expression of mathematical language,the correct recognition,understanding,transformation and standardized expression of mathematical language are studied in practice.Firstly,referring to the existing literature.This paper combs the relevant theories,collates the research results and the latest progress of mathematical language expression.Secondly,a questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the sixth grade students of a primary school in Zhenjiang,starting with the ability of mathematical language expression,to investigate the current situation of mathematical language expression of senior students in primary schools.The results show that most students need to improve their expressive ability in mathematics language,especially in primary school mathematics classroom.Finally,through the analysis of the results of the survey and classroom practice,this paper explores the strategies for improving students’ ability of mathematical language expression: grasping key word analysis,standardizing the expression of mathematical professional terms;teaching students in accordance with their aptitude,constructing three forms of mathematical language expression teaching;encouraging multiple transformations of expression,establishing the relationshipbetween mathematical language expression forms;creating mathematical debate situation,stimulating.Mathematical language expresses interest in communication,and carries out mathematical reading knowledge competition to enrich students’ mathematical language system.Through the above five aspects of practical research,we are committed to improving the mathematical language expression ability of senior primary school students.Based on the analysis of classroom teaching records,we reflect on the successes and problems in practice,hoping to bring some useful suggestions and thinking to the majority of mathematics teachers,so as to cultivate students’ mathematical language expression ability more effectively. |
