Mathematical language is a necessary tool for expressing the mathematical knowledge and idea or thinking.In a narrow sense,it is a symbol of index theory.Broadly speaking,it refers to all languages used to represent quantitative relations and spatial forms.It has features such as simplicity,accuracy,abstractness,and generality.Mathematical language ability refers to the ability of learners to correctly identify and understand the language that describes mathematical knowledge and thoughts,and to be able to construct and express them.It is the important tool of the high school mathematics learning and problem solving.Cultivate and improve the learners' ability of mathematical language,is an important task of high school teaching.But in the concrete teaching process,the cultivation and promotion of mathematical language ability is often ignored by teachers and students themselves.This can cause learners to have problems with the ability to recognize,understand,transform,and construct mathematical language,will hinder the mathematics learning.At first,this paper describes the research status of mathematics language ability at home and abroad and the significance of this paper.And then I discussed in detail the mathematics language of high school,including the definition of mathematics language in academia,and the characteristics and classification of commonly used mathematics language in secondary school,the definition of mathematical language ability and the related knowledge of educational psychology illustrate the relationship between mathematics language and mathematical knowledge and mathematical thinking,and demonstrates the necessity of cultivating and improving mathematical language ability.The third chapter of this article mainly analyzes and explains the problems of mathematics and language proficiency in the college entrance examination questions in recent years.It shows the various manifestations of mathematics language in mathematics learning and reveals the mathematical language ability,the main function and value of high school mathematics learning and mathematics examination;In the last chapter,based on the review of the literature and interviews with teachers,some suggestions for training and improving the learners' mathematics language ability are given.These mainly include increasing the emphasis on the training of learners' mathematical language ability and strengthening the student's skills of learning and doing training in mathematics.
