Study On The Lifestyle Of Landless Peasants In The Process Of Urbanization

With the continuous development of China's economy and the acceleration of urbanization,a large number of rural arable land and housing sites have been expropriated,and the group of landless peasants has been expanding.After the land expropriation,the landless peasants moved from the original countryside to buildings,changing the original living environment and conditions,which makes changes in the lifestyle of labor,consumption,leisure and entertainment,social interaction and so on.Based on the social security theory and the sustainable livelihood theory,this paper takes the landless peasants in Tulu Village,Hunchun City,Jilin Province as the research object,uses the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview to analyze the current situation of the life style of landless peasants from four aspects:labor,consumption,social interaction,leisure and entertainment.Through investigation and analysis,the results are as follows:Firstly,in terms of working lifstyle,landless peasants have difficulty in reemployment.Most landless peasants can only engage in unstable,low-income temporary work,and some landless peasants are unemployed.The employment situation of landless peasants is polarized.This is mainly due to the old age and low educational level of the landless peasants themselves,the imperfect employment and compensation policies of the government,and the imperfect social security mechanism.Second,in terms of the consumption lifestyle,the household consumption of landless peasants is mainly based on survival consumption,and the consumption pattern is relatively economical,but the family living expenses generally increase,the consumption structure tends to be diversified,and a few landless peasants have formed a wrong view of consumption.This is mainly due to the impact of the income of landless peasants,the restriction of traditional concepts,and the lack of a sense of security in life.Thirdly,in the way of social communication lifestyle,the social interaction of landless peasants is mainly between relatives,followed by the interaction between friends and neighbors.Although the object of communication has not changed significantly,the number of visits between relatives and neighbors has decreased significantly,and the degree of intimacy and trust among neighbors has decreased.This is mainly due to the change of living style and the influence of life pressure.Fourthly,in the way of leisure and entertainment lifestyle,the relative leisure time of landless peasants increases,but the leisure time activities are relatively monotonous,generally for the purpose of killing time activities.This is mainly due to the impact of the income of landless farmers,the impact of living environment and the limitations of community planning and construction.Based on the above findings,the following suggestions are made for improving the lifestyle of landless peasants:First,encourage landless peasants to achieve multi-channel employment and solve employment problems;Second,improve the guarantee mechanism for landless peasants and improve their sense of life security;The third is to strengthen the construction and management of resettlement communities and create a good cultural atmosphere.
