At present,table tennis has been widely carried out in primary schools in China and is popular among students.However,due to the influence of various factors,especially the traditional teaching methods,the teaching effect of table tennis teaching in primary schools is not satisfactory.In view of the particularity of primary school teaching object,this paper aims to apply the teaching games for understanding approach,which conforms to the new curriculum standard,to the teaching of the level three table tennis in primary school.Through experiments,this paper analyzes whether this teaching method is suitable for the extensive use in the elementary school table tennis teaching.In line with the guiding ideology of promoting the comprehensive development of students' physical and mental health,follow the rules and features of students' physical and mental development.Through adopting the teaching games for understanding approach to carry on the teaching,in the hope of can enhance the elementary school table tennis teaching quality and cultivate students' awareness of sports participation,mental health,social adaptation and other comprehensive qualities.Enable students to understand the basic technical movements of table tennis faster and can be used in practice.To cultivate students' lifelong sports consciousness and ability and lay a good foundation for students'lifelong sports learning and healthy life.This article will grasp the teaching method application in the elementary school level three table tennis teaching.The methods of literature,experiment,questionnaire,mathematical statistics and logical analysis were used.Through the contrast experiment between the grasping teaching method and the traditional teaching method,the data obtained from the experiment were statistically analyzed and processed.Draw the following conclusions:1.In primary school level three table tennis teaching,adopting the understanding teaching method can effectively promote the student table tennis technical level enhancement.2.In primary school level three table tennis teaching,adopting the understanding teaching method can greatly increase the practice density in class,promotes the student body quality enhancement.3.In primary school level three table tennis teaching,adopting the understanding teaching method can cultivate students' teamwork spirit and improve interpersonal communication ability.4.In primary school level three table tennis teaching,adopting the understanding teaching method can create a relaxed and interesting classroom atmosphere,stimulate students' interest in sports,and cultivate students' awareness of sports participation.5.In primary school level three table tennis teaching,adopting the understanding teaching method can improve the teaching quality of table tennis lessons and achieve good teaching results.
