Geography experiment teaching integrates the functions of knowledge imparting,skill training and ability training,which has an important influence on the realization of high school geography teaching objectives.Under the background of the new curriculum reform,the geography teaching in the senior high school promotes the cultivation of the necessary geographical literacy of the future citizen,pays attention to the inquiry of the geographical problem,advocates the autonomy,cooperation and inquiry learning,encourages the carrying out of the geographical experiment activities,so that the geographical experiment teaching has ushered in the historic development opportunity.However,most of the senior high school in our country is lack of professional geography laboratory and experimental instrument,which has brought unprecedented challenges to the continuous and effective implementation of the senior high school geography experiment teaching.Therefore,by means of the self-made teaching aids to assist the geography experiment teaching practice,this paper explores how to combine the self-made teaching aids with the geography experiment teaching so as to promote the improvement of the teaching quality,cultivate the students' geography core accomplishment,and explore the feasible methods and paths for the continuous and effective development of geographical experimental teaching.The study uses case analysis,experimental comparison,classroom observation,and interview method and under the guidance of the thought of modern educational theory,first of all,this paper combs the contents of geography experiment of compulsory course of Geography I in senior high school,and divides the geography experiment into three categories,that is,demonstration,simulation and production,makes an analysis of the characteristics of the "Compulsory Course of Geography 1" experiment in senior high school,and puts forward the application strategies of geography experiment in teaching.Secondly,according to the principles of teaching materials selection,design and production,using imitation method,improvement method and substitution method,five typical experimental items such as day and night length change,greenhouse effect,water cycle were selected.In the end,carry out experimental comparison and classroom observation research in high school geography classroom teaching,and test the effect of self-made teaching aids for geography experimental teaching.The results of this study show:(1)the experiment in the "Compulsory Course of Geography" in Senior High School is mainly simulated by the experiment,most of them are hidden in the text,the complete experimental operation scheme is insufficient,and teachers and students need their own self-made teaching aids in order to carry out geography experiment teaching;(2)the teaching aid required by the geography experiment teaching can be made by using the imitation,the improvement and the substitution method,the production background and the teaching requirements are analyzed before the self-made teaching aid,prepare production materials and debug the teaching aids after production.(3)The use of a self-made time zone dial to assist in the calculation and simulation of the date change,the teaching effect is better than using pure multimedia teaching,and reflects that self-made teaching aids can improve the teaching quality,promote the cultivation of core geographic literacy of students.Based on these studies,three suggestions are put forward to carry out the geography experiment teaching with the aid of the self-made teaching in the future:(1)Set up systematic experiment system,make complete experiment plan;(2)Make use of living materials,make self-made teaching aid by means of imitation,improvement and substitution method,and overcome the defects of the existing experimental conditions;(3)The self-made teaching aids are applied to the teaching of geographical experiments,but they cannot be completely dependent on the self-made teaching aids.We must give full play to the advantages of multimedia and self-made teaching aids.
