Yoga is an sport with five thousand years of history growing up along with ancient Indian civilization.In 1985 Chinese-American Zhang Huilan introduced Yoga in CCTV television series.Yoga began to attract public's focus by fashionable sport style,and satisfy people's needs by its unique effects in promoting physical-mental health,improving mental state,alleviate pressure.With national fitness concept gradually accepted,yoga in the fitness club has become a trend,and yoga market is constantly evolving.However,the development and promotion of yoga have not been long,and the development in medium and small cities is not mature.So the operating status of yoga clubs is not optimistic.This paper reflects research on the operating status of Zhenjiang fitness clubs which bases on in-depth and detailed investigation from yoga exerciser,yoga instructors and managers,and tries to fully understand the operation status of operating yoga clubs in Zhenjiang,summarize achievements and shortcomings in business operations,and dig the cause of problems from deeper level in order to offer relevant countermeasures and suggestions.This paper also provides references to the healthy development of yoga in Zhenjiang,and the promotion of the National Fitness Terms" in Zhenjiang.The results are as follows:1.Operating Yoga clubs in Zhenjiang are mostly small-scale and large-scale ones are located in the business district.Aspect of yoga clubs' operating conditions is not optimistic,loss,flat and slightly profitable respectively occupy one-third cases,so the operation of yoga clubs are to be improved.2.Ration of gender in Yoga clubs is extreme,including an absolute majority of female members and a tiny minority of less than five percent male members as.Yoga Membership's income is more than the local average level.The original motivation of most members is usually to lose weight or increase their flexibility.The "mind in peace,stress release" which caters to the yoga culture is still lagging behind.Members often participate in yoga after work.3.The ages of yoga instructors are usually between 24 and 37.Yoga trainer mobility,mostly part-time,Their wages are slightly higher than the local average income with little difference between individuals.Their education situation is usually college and university level and their teaching skills are recognized by everyone.Based on the conclusions we make the following recommendations:Governmental involvement should be strengthened in the management of yoga club industry so as to reduce the vicious competition in industry;managers should improve the environment for yoga practice and establish good channels of communication between the coach and the members so that feedbacks are in time;members' follow-up services should be cared for members' active secondary consume.
