With the intensification of international competition and the advent of the era of knowledge economy,the functional value of higher education is highlighted.The development of higher education and the improvement of the quality is the most vital security for our country's economy to achieve "leapfrog" development.Philip G.Altbach thought:" Academic profession is the center of any university." Faculties as the main crowd of academic profession are the undertakers of colleges and universities,teaching,scientific research,social service function.So,the quality of faculties directly determines the quality of higher education,further,determines the extent of contribution the higher education to the social.And the professionalization of faculties' professional is an essential approach to guarantee the quality of the faculties.At the same time,the professionalization is the development direction of an occupation,therefore this study puts focus on the academic profession professonalizaton.The study is given priority to theoretical research,at first,macroscopically combing the development history of the academic profession.Academic profession goes through growing out of nothing and from normal occupation to profession.And now it is a professional occupation has be confirmed in the law and recognized by social.In order to maitain the status of faculties and the extent of contribution the academic profession to the social,professionalizing is the important means to maintain and promote its professional.Through the relevant research results,the study bases on Human Capital Management and Professionalization,defines the latitude for evaluating the academic professional professionalization as profound knowledge,academic power,academic ethics and basing the social benefits as the value orientation.In the four evaluation latitudes analysis the academic profession in our country,the reality performance of its professionalization is not very ideal in the four aspects for profound knowledge insufficient,academic power weakened,academic ethics sheltering,social benefits being neglected.Factors affecting the academic profession professionalization include social,political,cultural factors and so on.Considering out of operation,the study deeply analyzing of the adverse factors against the academic professional professionalization in the management system of faculty,the inhibitors include the management system of the faculties out of the stander of academic;the reproductive system of the faculties not sound;the training system of the faculties not reasonable;the system of academic management imperfect.At last,put forward the countermeasures of our country's management of faculty to promote academic profession professionalization:management system to return to academic profession;optimizing of the doctoral education to improve the quality of talents;building sustainable development system of vocational training;reforming academic management system to make academic ethics replace.
