Classroom management is one of the most complicated domains in the education andteaching, and it takes Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology and Management as the basic theory.Classroom management is a course that teachers and students together set up the suitableclassroom environment, keep the classroom interaction and promote the classroom growth. Itnot only relates to the improvement of teaching quality but also affects the development ofstudents.Since the 1960's, elementary and secondary classroom management in America has beendeveloping for nearly 50 years and has formed many genres and methods. With the ideas of"people-oriented", "democracy and equality" and "Management is education", and taking"the all-round development of the students" as the final goal, America sets the pace in theworld. By expatiating the contents and methods of classroom management, such as themanagement of classroom general affairs, classroom environment, classroom order andclassroom activities etc., and analyzing its effects, the dissertation summarizes thecharacteristics of the elementary and secondary classroom management in America. Finally,according to the neglected status quo of our country's classroom management, it puts forwardsome illumination on elementary and secondary classroom management of China.
