In the 21 st century,with the advent of the "Internet +" era,the comprehensive innovation of media technology and intelligent mobile devices has made mobile online games become one of the indispensable forms of entertainment for the public.Mobile game has been transformed from a simple information terminal platform into People's Daily social platform and media tools.In the process of interaction in the virtual world of games,the game motivation and behavior of players also changes due to the characteristics of media.Since April 2018,the asymmetry of the netease game for the first time against atletico tour "Identity V" in domestic hand once the open beta,and for his major APP download the top of the market,attracted thousands of players to participate in the game,thus in symmetry games against the "siege" under the situation of the meteoric rise of break through the traditional pattern of 1 v1 fair competition,both inherit the spread of the network game media properties,also show its unique social attribute.Guided by maslow's hierarchy of needs theory,this paper adopts the questionnaire survey method to study 406 game players of Identity V.The age and gender of players are taken as independent variables to investigate the differences in motivation and behavior of players of different ages and genders.On this basis,16 different groups of players were interviewed through in-depth interviews to deeply investigate the different needs of players.The results show that:(1)there are differences in game motivations among groups of players of different ages.Among them,the primary motivation for the group of young players aged 18 and below to participate in the game is achievement,the main motivation of the players aged 19-29 years old is social interaction and killing motivation,while the curiosity and exploration of asymmetric games is the main motivation of the players aged 30 and above.(2)there are also differences in game motivations between male and female players.The main motivation for female players to participate in mobile game is achievement and social motivation,while male players are more likely to escape the constraints of the real worldtemporarily through the killing pleasure they get when playing the supervisor.(3)there are significant differences in media contact behavior,consumption behavior,role-playing behavior,social behavior and video interpretation behavior among players of different ages.(4)in addition to no significant difference in consumption behavior between male and female players,there were differences in other game behaviors.
