Education is multidimensional, with children's academic performance affected by many factors. The influence of parental involvement on children's academic performance has always been a hot topic in education.Excellent grades are of great significance to middle school students' future and the planning of family education. The study focuses on the following issues:(1)Different ways of parental involvement in their children's study;(2)The influence of different ways of parental involvement in their children's academic performance;(3)Factors that affect parental involvement. The main research methods of this study include interview and questionnaire.Through interviews with the parents of graduates in 2017 in my school, eight common and feasible ways of parental involvement are summarized.Through the questionnaire survey on the parents of graduates in 2018,useful information of students' grades is collected. With the data analysis software SPSS,the data is reasonably analyzed. This paper discusses the influence of parental involvement on the grades of ninth graders and the factors of parental involvement. The findings are as follows:First of all, parental involvement in children is more theoretical and less practical. It is suggested that parents should teach their children both by words and by deeds in the process of participating in their children's learning.Secondly, parents should pay more attention to the analysis of children's academic performance and involvement in school activities, and guide their children'homework in an effective and reasonable way. It's hopefully that their children's academic performance can be improved in the last year of junior high school. Finally, family background doesn't have significant impact on ways of parental involvement.Teachers should treat children of different academic levels in a reasonable and fair way.
