In recent years, with the continuous exposure of the mass media, the long-marginalized group of "de facto orphans" has begun to enter the public eye.The situation of de facto orphans is made worse by the fact that they are in the same situation as orphans and are not treated on an equal basis with orphans.According to incomplete statistics,as of 2014,the number of de facto orphans in China has reached 610,000.Academic research on de facto orphans has focused on material support, social protection and policy assistance systems, and little attention has been paid to the issue of mental health. However, the fact orphans have more prominent psychological and emotional problems, and some even have deviant behaviors, whether in life learning, interpersonal communication or personality development.Mental health is related to whether the actual orphans can grow healthily and affect their future development direction. As a "help and help" profession, social work should focus on the actual orphans as key service objects and pay attention to their healthy growth.Starting with the mental health problems of rural de facto orphans, taking the G village in the region as an example, using the strengths and difficulties questionnaire(SDQ)and the mental health scale(MHT)of primary and secondary school students as tools, the paper collected data through field visits and questionnaires. On the basis of understanding the mental health status and characteristics of the actual orphans in the village, this paper analyzes the causes of mental health problems from three aspects: individual, family and school. While understanding the basic issues, through the screening of the data collected in the early stages, the author determined that Xiao Z was a case service object. From the aspects of his growth experience, current problems, and expectations for the future, the author cut in.Based on the analysis of mental health problems and the establishment of service plans, the study anxiety, the symptoms of communication anxiety and the performance of lying and dishonesty were interfered with by using psychosocial treatment model. It has been proved that by constructing social support network of clients, the anxiety and emotions of the clients have been effectively relieved, which not only helps to enhance their confidence and courage in facing difficulties, but also can effectively promote the improvement of the interpersonal situation. Finally, through the double evaluation of the intervention effect,it is proved that the intervention of the case social work on the mental health problems of De facto orphans is effective.
