Practical Exploration Of Case Work Involved In The Plight Of Orphans Growing Up In The Process Of Intergenerational Upbringing

To care for children and teenagers is to care for the future of the country.In the current society,from the “Children first”strategic deployment,down to every family family’s family instructions to the development of children and young people have expressed keen care and expectations.With the quickening pace of social development,a series of adolescent development issues have been paid more and more attention.Paying attention to the interests of the youth group,and giving more attention and care to the orphans,which is a special group,has always been an important part of social work,taking an orphan L who is referred from the community and is troubled by emotional instability,disharmonious parent-child relationship,poor academic performance and bad association with friends as an example,this paper uses the case work method to analyze L’s current growing dilemma,through case intervention to help the case-owners improve their personal misperception,adjust the family bad parent-child communication,and establish a social support system.Through the analysis of the results of the scale and the data collected by observation and interview,it is found that the case-master L is influenced by individual cognitive bias,improper family rearing pattern and disadvantageous factors in school and community,with the need of regulating bad mood,promoting parent-child communication,relieving study troubles,developing personal hobbies and obtaining support,the service goal and intervention strategy are formulated.Using the theory of social support and the model of psycho-social therapy,11 sessions were held in five aspects: encouraging emotional expression,promoting parent-child communication,enhancing peer support,promoting learning interest and participating in community activities,giving full play to the professional advantages of social work and assisting the case owners to improve the difficulties they are facing.In the later period of service,comprehensive assessment was carried out through goal achievement,post-test,case owner satisfaction,family assessment and social worker self-assessment.The research shows that the orphans under the alternate-generation care have complex growth needs due to the negative effects of the alternate-generation care,the intervention of social work has made positive guidance to the emotional regulation of the case-owner,family communication,the improvement of learning interest and the establishment of support system,which has certain effect on alleviating the growing dilemma of orphans under the care of other generations,then,from the perspectives of paying attention to the mental health of orphans,guiding the families of raising orphans through the next generation to renew their educational concepts,strengthening the community’s social support for orphans,and promoting social work to intervene in the development of orphans,some suggestions are put forward for the development of social work for orphans and other adolescents,for the youth social work practical experience accumulation makes the positive exploration.
