The Impact Of Online Social Interaction On Public Welfare

Internet use has promoted the innovation of public welfare,and online public welfare activities provide diversified ways for individual participation.The public welfare in China has changed from government leading to voluntary participation,which is gradually booming.The current participation level in China is still lower than developed countries.This paper' s issue is how to mobilize people to participate in public welfare activities.Existing researches focus on the influence of the Internet on online public welfare,while there are few studies about offline public welfare participation.This article explored how Online social affects offline public welfare participation.Using the data of CSS2015,this paper has discussed the impact of Online social on public participation and the indirect effects of trust.Online social is divided into Non-mobilized online social and mobilizing online social,trust includes acquaintance trust and stranger trust.Public participation can be classified into organizing participation and organized participation.As for the statistic method,this article firstly applies the Multiple logistic regression model to find the impact of Online social on public participation,and then utilizes the SEM analysis and Bootstrap test to discuss the indirect effects of trUst.The findings are as follows:(1)Online social can promote public welfare participation:non-mobilized network communication can significantly promote the behaviors and intentions,while network mobilization can only promote the behaviors.(2)Non-mobilized onl:ine communication can further improve the possibility of participation by promoting mobilizing online social.(3)Stranger trust has a positive mediation in the influence of non-mobilized online social on organized participation.This study enriches the research in the field of network public welfare and explains the direct of online social and indirect effects of trust on public participation.Based on the conclusions,the author puts forward some suggestions on how to mobilize individual to participate in public welfare activities.
