In recent years,the geography circles have become more and more concerned about scale thought.Although the research of the basic geography education on the scale thought needs to be in-depth,it also shows the trend of increasing year by year.The basic idea of geography includes scale thought,and strengthening the research of scale thought in basic geography education can help to highlight the characteristics of geography and train students' key competencies of geography.However,in practical teaching,there are still a lot of areas to be further improved in the training of scale thought.Therefore,it is of theoretical and practical significance to train students' scale thought in geography teaching of middle school.In this paper,the literature method is used to clarify the scale thought of the geography teaching in middle school,including the scale division,scale linkage,scale selection,scale effect,scale transformation and scale matching thought,and the corresponding teaching cases are designed and analyzed.After that,the content analysis method is used to sort out the contents of the scale thought in the compulsory education stage and the general high school stage geography curriculum standards,and taking the seven textbooks in the compulsory education stage and the ordinary high school stage(compulsory module)as examples,the contents of scale thought in geography textbooks are listed and combed.Through combing,it is found that the geography curriculum standard in compulsory education stage has a relatively obvious reflection on spatial scale division thought;the geography curriculum standard in ordinary high school stage has a relatively obvious reflection on scale transformation thought.The geography textbooks in the compulsory education stage are of great value in training students' spatial scale division thought and scale selection thought,but they need to strengthen time scale division,scale transformation and scale matching thought;the compulsory geography textbooks in the ordinary high school stage are helpful to train students' scale division,scale effect and scale transformation thought,but the reflection of scale matching thought needs to be strengthened.Finally,based on the content and embodiment of the scale thought in middle school geography teaching,combining thedomestic and foreign research results,the method of training students' scale thought in geography teaching of middle school is proposed.The training of students' scale thought in geography teaching of middle school is carried out from six parts of the scale thought.The training of students' scale division thought is carried out from spatial scale and time scale.The training of students' spatial scale division thought can be illustrated by means of schematic diagrams and use hierarchical color maps to guide students to divide spatial scale;The training of students' time scale division thought can show the combined dynamic graphs and construct knowledge structure diagram to show the development of geographical events and problems.The training of students' scale linkage thought can be combined with causal maps and guided by problems to focus on the interaction between different scales.The training of students' scale selection thought can make use of Google Earth and choose the appropriate scale of observation and analysis according to the specific situation.The training of students' scale effect thought can make use of nested composite diagram and role-playing to make students learn to think on different scales.The training of students' scale transformation thought can draw conceptual maps and create problem situations to convert between different scales.The training of students' scale matching thought can arrange tables and combine dynamic graphs to enhance the matching of space-time scale.
