The text is a symbol of human beings entering a civilized society.Chinese characters carry the splendid history and civilization of China.In the long history,a unique Chinese art form,calligraphy,has been evolved.The famous artist Xiong Bingming once said that "calligraphy is the core of Chinese culture",Some scholars call calligraphy "the highest art recognized by the world."In recent years,in order to promote the development of calligraphy education,while inheriting and promoting the excellent traditional culture of the China,the Ministry of Education attaches great importance to the promotion of calligraphy education in the basic education stage.In August 2011,the Ministry of Education issued the "Opinions on the Development of Calligraphy Education in Primary and Secondary Schools".In January 2013,the Ministry of Education officially issued the"Guidelines for Calligraphy Education in Primary and Secondary Schools".The promulgation of the two documents has greatly promoted the development of calligraphy education in primary and secondary schools.As the birthplace of"Yanzhao Culture",the development of calligraphy education has also attracted worldwide attention in Hebei Province.As for the calligraphy education in the middle and primary school,the development of calligraphy education has achieved remarkable results,including the "Ningjin Phenomenon","Shijiazhuang Experience","Candle Light Plan" and the "National Training Program".However,there are also difficulties such as unbalanced development of region,lack of teachers,inadequately equipped hardware facilities,incomplete textbook configuration,non-standardization,and weak teaching quality.After researching by documents,questionnaires and interviews,this paper analyzes the data in depth.In response to these dilemmas,this paper proposes to promote the education of primary and middle school calligraphy at the height of cultural heritage,and to promote the "Ningjin Nhenomenon",the"National Training Program",and expand the "Candle Light Plan".Also,this paper proposes to improve hardware configuration,overcome teaching shortcomings,strengthen teaching evaluation,and improve teaching quality.The full text is divided into five chapters.The main contents of each chapter are as follows.The first chapter is the investigation on the present situation of calligraphy education in primary and middle schools in Hebei Province.This paper conducts in-depth research through literatures,questionnaires,and visits.Most of the interviewees are in charge of the education department.The main survey respondents are teachers and students.The survey data were collated and analyzed in depth.There are two types of questionnaire results,including the univariate data analysis and the bivariate data analysis.The second chapter summarizes the advantages of calligraphy education in primary and middle schools in Hebei Province.In the development of calligraphy education,Hebei Province has carried out many useful explorations in primary and middle schools,such as "Shijiazhuang Experience","Ningjin Phenomenon","Candle Light Plan" and "National Training Plan",which are focused by major online media.Those have made great contributions to the popularization of calligraphy education in primary and secondary schools in Hebei Province,and have now developed into well-known brands of calligraphy education.The third chapter analyzes the dilemma of calligraphy education in primary and middle schools in Hebei Province.There are many experiences on the development of calligraphy education in primary and secondary schools in Hebei Province.At the same time,there are also some difficulties.First,regional development is unbalanced.The development of calligraphy education has a certain foundation and scale in some districts.However,Hebei Province has a vast territory,and there are still many areas where there is insufficient calligraphy education.The second point is the lack of teachers.The comprehensive popularization of calligraphy education requires a large number of teachers.The main problem is that the enrollment of higher calligraphy majors is small,and it is difficult for middle and primary school calligraphy teachers to find jobs.Third,the hardware facilities such as the calligraphy classroom are not enough.Fourth,the textbook configuration is not complete and not standardized.Fifth,the evaluation of teaching needs to be further strengthened.The fourth chapter is the research on the countermeasures of calligraphy education in primary and middle schools in Hebei Province.Facing the current difficulties in the development of calligraphy education in Hebei Province,the following countermeasures are proposed.First,we should promote the calligraphy education in primary and secondary schools at the height of cultural inheritance.Secondly,we should promote the "Ningj in Phenomenon".The third is to increase the training of the "National Training Program".The fourth is to expand the scope of the"Candle Light Plan".The fifth is to overcome the teaching shortcomings and improve the hardware configuration.Sixth,we should strengthen the teaching evaluation and improve teaching quality.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.The fifth chapter hopes that it will play an active role in promoting the healthy and sustainable development of calligraphy education in primary and secondary schools in Hebei Province and even the whole country by the analysis and research on the advantages,dilemmas and countermeasures of calligraphy education.
