The Career development of teachers is related to the school teaching quality and effects students' mental and physical growth more directly.Compared with the novice teachers and young-backbone teachers,mature teachers are faced with more career development barriers.This research explores the features and shaping factors of mature primary and middle school teachers' career plateau and gives some countermeasures in regional and school management.This research takes 1048 mature primary and middle school teachers in nine schools in Suzhou Industrial Park as the main object of investigation.Through a data analysis of questionnaires,this paper empirically analyzes the degree of career plateau of mature teachers in primary and secondary schools and their differences in demographic characteristics,and finds out the significant factors affecting the career plateau response of mature teachers in primary and secondary schools.The results show that mature teachers in primary and secondary schools are more sensitive to their own professional knowledge and teaching skills,personal promotion,career development,etc.,and have a higher degree of altitude response in their skills and development.In comparison,the degree of occupational altitude response in terms of physical quality and psychological and emotional aspects is not serious.The mature primary and secondary school teachers with different teaching age,different academic qualifications,different honorary titles,and different family status have significant differences in the overall career plateau response.There is no difference in the overall career plateau response of mature primary and secondary school teachers of different ages,different titles,different teaching sections,and different teaching departments.The two external factors,school organization and teachers'families,play a significant role in explaining the overall career plateau response of mature teachers.Among them,family factors have become a particularly important reason for the vocational plateau response of mature teachers in primary and secondary schools.Balancing the relationship between family and profession will be a breakthrough point to relieve teachers 'occupational altitude response.
