In the era of knowledge economy,the creation of knowledge is an important driving force for economic growth and technological development.Faced with increasingly complex social problems and increasingly integrated knowledge,the innovative talents needed by the state and society must be compound talents with multi-disciplinary knowledge reserves and interdisciplinary thinking and interdisciplinary problem-solving skills.And colleges and universities as an important position for talent training.It is inevitable to carry out education and teaching activities according to the talent needs of the state and society,and the implementation of interdisciplinary education is already the general trend,China's interdisciplinary paradigm revolution is late,the current national and university focus is on interdisciplinary research,while interdisciplinary education focuses more on interdisciplinary postgraduate education related to interdisciplinary research,and less on interdisciplinary undergraduate education.As the "speaker" of the quality of college education,undergraduate education occupies the basic position of the university,and it is also an important field for the transformation of interdisciplinary education.It has important significance that cannot be ignored.This article will focus on the United States with an interdisciplinary undergraduate education experience.Based on the micro level,the learning community is used as the research framework to conduct in-depth analysis and exploration of the curriculum and teaching links in interdisciplinary undergraduate education.The research mainly consists of three parts.The first part clarifies the basic theory and core concept of the learning community and lays the foundation for the follow-up research.The second part examines the interdisciplinary undergraduate education practice in the United States and traces the development history of interdisciplinary undergraduate education in the United States.Undergraduate education practice is a case study of the current status of interdisciplinary undergraduate education in the United States.In the third part,based on the perspective of learning community,this paper explores the interdisciplinary undergraduate education in the United States and summarizes some of its empirical characteristics.On this basis,it puts forward the experience of our country.
