The teacher team is the core component of a school,and the development of the school is closely related to the personal development of the teachers.Therefore,the importance of teacher evaluation is self-evident.It is an important component of educational evaluation and also acts as a baton for the work of teachers.Therefore,perfect and reasonable teacher evaluation can not only review and diagnose the work of teachers,but also play a leading and inspiring role from the positive,and have a profound impact on the development of the school.According to the requirements of the New Curriculum Reform,it is imperative to establish an evaluation system to promote the continuous development of teachers.Nowadays,most Chinese primary and secondary schools implement traditional teacher evaluation of reward and punishment.According to the requirements of the new curriculum standards,teacher evaluation should be promoted to promote the professional development of teachers as the fundamental purpose,and then develop a developmental evaluation system for teachers.In practice,primary and secondary schools at home and abroad are also actively exploring more reasonable and scientific teacher evaluation,but the system has encountered different levels of difficulties in the process of actual implementation.Therefore,this study aims to identify the problems encountered in the implementation of the S-school teacher evaluation as a case study and the reflections it brings,trying to find a teacher evaluation suitable for S schools for the existing problems.I have been teaching in S High School for more than 8 years.I have experienced the implementation process and development process of the school's teacher evaluation in the past 8 years.As a front-line teacher of the school,I have some understanding of the teacher's evaluation,and also have my own thinking,starting from personal experience.With research questions,in-depth interviews were conducted with 11 representative teachers in the school.Inspiration,advice and related materials are easier to obtain for me thanks to my relationship with my colleagues and the case school.Throughout the relevant research literature at home and abroad,especially the domestic research literature,there are many researches on the subject of teacher evaluation,but the empirical research on the case-based in-depth analysis is rare.The research questions that I pay attention to are as follows: How are the current teacher evaluations in S high school implemented? What difficulties and obstacles are encountered in the implementation of teacher evaluation? According to the actual situation of the school,What opinions and suggestions do the teachers have about teacher evaluation of S school?In this case study,text collection and analysis methods and interview method were used.Through in-depth interviews,profound understanding was made on the establishment,development,evolution and reflection of the system related to teacher evaluation since the school was established 11 years ago.This paper also analyzes several factors that impact teacher evaluation and compares the evaluation of the new and the old.Based on the coding and analysis of the interview materials,I summarized the expectations of teachers in S school to improve the teacher evaluation of the school,including the establishment of multi-subject teacher evaluation;enrich the evaluation content,improve the fairness of evaluation;establish teacher evaluation system which aims to promote the development of teachers.In addition,according to the analysis of the interview texts and literature materials,four improvement strategies for teacher evaluation were proposed for S high school:(1)to improve the professional level of the evaluation subject;(2)to use the small scope as the starting point,and to include teaching portfolio in teacher evaluation;(3)to establish a clear channel to understand the teacher's appeal,which reflects the humanistic care;(4)to make up for the design flaws of the teacher evaluation system itself.I hope to carry out feedback work by understanding the expectations and suggestions of the teachers in S school,and I hope to promote the reform of the relevant system of teacher evaluation in S school to a certain extent.
