With the general trend of economic globalization and under the influence of reform and open policy,China's trade liberalization process gradually deepens. However, with the continuous development of China's trade opening, the domestic distribution pattern has undergone significant changes, and the problem of income inequality also shows its severity gradually. At the same time,China's slowing economic growth has made it a practical demand that how to properly allocate resources to increase output. As one of the most basic factors of production, the rational utilization of labor resources is the prerequisite for the rapid increase of output. However, there is a serious imbalance in China's employment structure, especially the gender imbalance in employment structure. Thus, studying the impact of trade liberalization on gender differences in employment, clarifying its impact and impact mechanism, seeking channels to narrow the gender employment differences, will be conducive to make full and reasonable use of labor resource in the society to increase output, and at the same time, help narrow the gender employment difference, which will be a good breakthrough point for improving income inequality problem. After sorting out relevant literatures on trade liberalization and gender employment difference, this paper analyzes the current situation of trade liberalization and gender employment difference in China. On the basis of the front work, this article selects urban survey data of year 1995,2002,2008 and 2013 from the CHIP micro database. It studies the impact of China's trade liberalization on gender employment difference through empirical analysis, and the main method used to regression is to introduce instrumental variables into the econometric model. Therefore, some conclusions have been made.Firstly, trade liberalization has positive influence on both men's and women's wage level, but it also expands gender employment difference in general;Secondly, the introducing of interaction term between trade liberalization and technological progress shows that not only trade liberalization itself affects gender employment difference, but also it affects gender employment difference through technological progress.Thirdly, subsample regression was conducted by dividing groups according to the level of education, and it was found that with the improvement of education level, gender employment difference was gradually narrowed. In view of this, the author believes that in the context of economic globalization and trade liberalization, increasing education and training opportunities for female workers and improving women's competitiveness in the labor market will be conducive to solving the problem of gender employment difference, thus improving income inequality problem and promoting economic growth stably.
