Teachers play a critical role in cultivating and educating students.They serve as an essential linking part to disseminate,succeed and develop the scientific and cultural knowledge of human beings.In ancient times,the Great poet Han Yu(768AD-824AD)had showed how important teachers are by the verse which goes: Teacher,is the person who could propagate the doctrine,impart professional knowledge and dispel doubts.Nowadays,teachers are billed as the “engineers of human souls”.Of the four modernizations(modernization of agriculture,industry,national defence and science and technology),talents play an important role in realizing the modernization of science and technology,while the training of talents depends on the development of the educational cause.At present,there is a huge shortage of various high-level talents in all walks of life,and it is the teachers who are responsible for cultivating the advanced talents.Relevant researches show that,college teachers are facing a host of problems as anxiety and job burnout caused by heavy teaching burden,high pressure on scientific researches and unreasonable management system.Psychological capital,as a positive psychological quality and competence,could be developed and interfered.As such,we could mobilize the positive psychological strength of college teachers to deal with all kinds of problems in their work and life thus strengthening their psychological capital.As one part the college teachers,the PE teachers,not only have such pressures as teaching and research,but also bear heavier physical damage than other teachers.That is to say,it's easier for college PE teachers to suffer from psychological problems.However,it fails to draw enough public concern on the psychological capital of college PE teachers at present.This paper applies the theory of psychological capital to the group of college PE teachers to understand the status quo of their psychological capital and explore the influence factors,then to analyze the study results.Finally,this paper puts forward targeted steps to improve college PE teachers' psychological capital in accordance to its major influencing factors,which may enrich relevant researches centering around the psychological capital and have theoretical and practical significance..This paper,taking the psychological capital of college PE teachers as study object,mainly focuses on their characteristics of psychological capital and its influence factors.And by using the methods of questionnaire and expert interview to discuss features of college PE teachers' psychological capital and its main influencing factors,and then this paper gives targeted advice to deal with the influencing factors and draws and draw conclusions as following:(1)At present,College PE teachers generally possess a good psychological capital quality featuring that teachers good at interpersonal communication have higher psychological capital quality than those pragmatical ones,and among the eight dimensions,the college PE teachers get the highest scores in modesty and composure,while poorest scores in optimism and hope.Besides,marital status,education background,position,college type,professional tittle,life experience and disease play a significant role in influencing the psychological capital of college PE teachers,while gender,age and seniority fail to do that.(2)The main factors influencing college PE teachers' psychological capital come from three aspects: individual,organization and support of society,including job burnout,control point,dedication-benefits,role stress,organizational support,leadership style,teachers' participation,school management,support from family and friends.
