Education has become one of the topics of general concern to parents in the current society.Parents are keen to give their children all kinds of tutoring, training, and actively trying to get their children into a good school, paying high school fees,or buying high-priced house in school districts. These show the economic investment of families in the education of their children. On the other hand, parents also spend more time and energy on their children's education. In the public perception, the middle class seems to be the most active parent group to invest in children's education, and their expectations for children's education are also higher.Their stress on education is the projection of the middle class' s own anxiety in the field of education. Therefore, this study raises the following questions: Does the middle class have a higher anxiety rate than other classes? What factors influence children's education investment, and is it one of the important reasons for the anxiety of social members? Are there real class differences in family investment in their children's education? The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of investment and expectation for children's education on anxiety of social members, and to test whether there are class differences between them.In the process of literature review,it is found that most current research focus on a single investment, while the research both focusing on family's economic investment and energy investment in children's education is less. So,this study attempts to establish a comprehensive index system for the children's education investment from family, comprehensively examine the family's economic and energy investment to the education of children, and analyze the different performances of different families in education investment.Based on the analysis and definition of anxiety in the field of psychology, this study establishes an anxiety measurement index system.According to the purpose of the study,it uses stata12.0 to establish regression models, which incorporates the investment and expectation for children's education into the interpretation of anxiety. This study mainly focuses on the following six parts: put forward research questions, literature review, theoretical model, research design, regression analysis and policy recommendations. The first chapter mainly proposes questions, the purpose and significance of the study, the specific research content and methods used, and the innovation of the study. The second chapter mainly explains the key concepts, and combs the research results of domestic and foreign research on the relationship between family socio-economic status and education investment and review the related research on educational expectations. It also explains the relationship between middle class anxiety and education in the current research.Based on the definition of anxiety in this study, the third chapter combs the research achievements of relevant theory of anxiety and the mediating effect of education expectation on education attainment and family background, and constructs the theoretical framework of this study. The fourth chapter, based on the study purpose and theoretical model, explains the database and relevant indicators, and makes a descriptive statistical analysis of education investment and anxiety. On the basis of descriptive statistics, the fifth chapter uses multiple regression models to further analyze the influencing factors of family education investment.Logistic regression is used to verify which factors affected anxiety and whether there are class differences in the process. The sixth chapter is based on the results of empirical analysis, summarizes the study conclusions, puts forward reasonable suggestions, and points out the inadequacies of this research. The study has four important conclusions.Firstly, compared with the upper and lower classes, the empirical results of this study can't confirm that the middle class has a higher incidence of anxiety, however the energy investment and economic investment of the middle class are significantly higher, but there is no significant gap between the upper class and the middle class in terms of economic investment, and their education expectations are significantly higher than those of other classes.Secondly, family's energy investment in children's education is "cultivating excellence",while economic investment is related to parents' education expectation.Thirdly, children's learning performance has an indirect positive impact on parents' anxiety by affecting education energy investment, and education expectation is an important reason to explain middle class anxiety, while status risk is also an important reason to affect personal anxiety.Fourthly, the middle class played a moderating role in the process.Several important policy suggestions are proposed, based on the study conclusion.Firstly, government should ensure the fairness of mainstream education, supervise the teaching quality of schools, create policy condition for schools to adjust teaching services according to the development of social needs, and play a pioneering role in shaping a harmonious society and reducing social discrimination.Secondly,Schools should implement the quality of education and teaching, not transfer the teaching tasks on campus to off-campus,and actively try to provide appropriate paid education services, such as delayed service after class.Thirdly, parents should also adjust their own education concepts and reshape scientific education thinking.Middle class parents need to establish appropriate education expectation on the basis of respecting their children's personal characteristics.
