With the rapid development of education, the higher education in our country has entered the stage of popular education. People’s desire for accepting higher education gradually comes into reality. In the process of accepting the higher education, the fairness of higher education is increasingly becoming the focus of attention of the society. In real life, various problems are affecting the education injustice; the most important point is the higher education unfairness caused by social stratification. Usually, children from families of higher social status have obvious advantages in the process of accepting Higher Education, in whether it is the starting point, process, or result. It is obviously that social stratification has seriously affected the fairness of higher education. We hope this research on this phenomenon could give a clear description about social stratification effects on the three stages of higher education fairness, and play a positive role in realizing the promotion of higher education fairness, and in promoting benign social mobility.This article focuses on the perspective of social stratification, and analyzes the influence of social stratification on higher education of starting point, process, result three fair. The writer selected four different levels of colleges and universities in ShanxiLinfen and other regions, and mainly used questionnaire method toobtain relevant data which was analyzed with method of descriptivestatistics and correlation using SPSS19.0. The researchhypothesis that social stratification has influence on highereducation starting point, process, and result fairness were verified.Higher the Family income, father’s occupation stratification statusand education level is, higher the opportunity of the children toenter a better college and get a comprehensive quality development,so that to have a more strong competitiveness in employment.This research mainly includes the following contents:The first introduces the background of the education fairquestion and the research significance, and expounded relatedtheory of social stratification, higher education, and highereducation equity; and summarized previous relevant research onsocial stratification and the fairness of higher education. Thesecond chapter mainly makes a brief introduction of the survey. Webriefly introduced the research methods, operated the mainconcept, and briefly described the survey sample. The third chapterto the fifth chapter is the analysis and interpretation of the surveysample data. The third chapter mainly analyzes the influence ofsocial stratification on higher education equality of opportunity.The Writer discussed this issue from the home address, father’seducation level, father’s occupation stratification, father’s politicalstatus, family income, senior high school and other aspects. Thefourth chapter mainly analyzes the influence of social stratificationon the fairness of higher education course. The Writer discussed this issue from the selection of professional, academicachievement, academic satisfaction, part-time internships,consumption and other aspects. The fifth chapter mainly analyzesthe social stratification results fair influence on higher education.The Writer discussed this issue from the aspect of postgraduateemployment desire, selection, work considered factors of inquiry.According to the research results above, starting from theperspective of social stratification, the author put forward severalmethods aiming at promoting education fair, including theincrease of investment in higher education, perfecting supervisionmechanism, optimize the allocation of resources, improving theemployment training system. Society, school, students individualshould all take positive action, and efforts to promote therealization of higher education equity.
