The report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out that employment is the biggest livelihood of the people. To promote farmers' multi-channel employment and entrepreneurship, the Central Committee's "No.1 Document" in 2018 also proposes to promote the transfer of rural labor force to employment and increase farmers' income.Since the 1980 s,along with the economic development of our country,a large number of rural labor force have been transferred to employment. These growing groups of migrant workers have attracted extensive attention from the government and academia. At present, most of the academic research on the issue of peasants' going out to work is to analyze the reasons of peasants' going out to work from the angle of income-cost.It mainly emphasizes the important influence of peasants' income on their decision to go out to engage in non-agricultural production.A considerable number of scholars also analyze it from a relatively macro perspective, emphasizing the social capital of the whole countryside or city. The attraction of rural migrant workers, but seldom from the perspective of family social capital to analyze its impact on rural migrant workers,so some existing research still has some limitations.Based on the micro-data obtained by the field research institutes of Huanggang and Jingzhou in Hubei Province, this paper focuses on the analysis of the impact of social capital of farmers' families on their migrant workers' behavior.Specifically, this paper first summarizes the relevant literature on this issue at home and abroad, and explores the possible innovations in this paper;then defines the core concepts involved in this paper, and analyses the reasons why farmers go out to work from a theoretical point of view;then, this paper uses detailed descriptive analysis method to analyze the personal characteristics of household heads and household characteristics of 648 sample data obtained. The characteristics of family social capital are analyzed to clarify the differences between different peasant households in choosing to go out to work due to different personal characteristics and social capital.Furthermore, this paper takes whether peasant households choose to go out to work as a dependent variable, and takes the personal characteristics of the head of household, such as age, education, political outlook, health status, and family social capital such as human relations expenditure. As independent variables, householdborrowing ability and the number of relatives visited are constructed to test the impact of social capital on peasant households' migrant workers' behavior by using binary logistic model. Finally, based on the results of empirical analysis, conclusions are drawn and relevant policy recommendations and research prospects are put forward.Through empirical analysis, this paper mainly draws the following conclusions: 1.The individual characteristics of the head of household have a significant impact on whether farmers choose to go out to work.Specifically, when the head of household has a higher education, good health, political outlook is a party member, and the work industry is non-agricultural,the possibility of farmers choosing to go out to work is greater;2.Social capital variables are farmers. The number of relatives visited during the Spring Festival, the expenditure of family relationships, and the ability of family borrowing all have significant positive effects on peasant households' outgoing tools.Specifically, the more relatives visited during the Spring Festival, the more expenditure of human relations, and the stronger ability of family borrowing, the more likely peasant households will choose to go out to work.3.The individual characteristics of peasant household owners and their social capital have different effects on migrant workers' behavior, but the impact of social capital is more significant through empirical analysis.4.We should attach importance to basic education in rural areas, pay attention to the role of peasant social capital in information transmission of migrant workers,at the same time, build employment information service platform, improve the social security system of peasant migrant workers, and reduce the impact.Resistance factors of peasant households going out to work can improve the rational and free flow of rural labor resources.
