Application Of Group Work In College Freshmen Adaptation

In recent years,along with the increase enrollment in universities,a large number of students have difficulties in adaption to the new college life.New study environment and more complicated personal relationship are problems confronted by them.Current education in universities can not help students to solve there problems naturally.However.group work method is useful to solve the problems of adaptation.This article applied the interview,questionnaire and action research method.Through adaptation scale measurement,the author concluded that some freshmen(students who entered university in 2018)can not adapt to the new college life,including interpersonal communication and psychological situation.Beside Intervention,both process assessment and final assessment were adopted in the study.The author analyzed the contrast between pre-test and pro-test,combining with related theory and practice of social work,tried to demonstrate the effectiveness of group work method for college freshmen to adapt to those problems.The author chose 10 representatives from K college as subjects.In the study,Interventions were applied in group activities for seven times,which aimed to help these 10 students to better adapt to college life.Studies have found that through activities,not only all these10 freshmen improved a lot in psychological status and learning method,but also their adaptability and interpersonal relationship have improved to some degree.
