Abstract/Summary:
STEM is the abbreviation of the science,technology,engineering and mathematics.At present,STEM is one of the new hotspots of teaching research and exploration in China's basic education.The educational concept advocated by STEM conforms to the objective requirements of the future development of science and technology.At the same time,it is consistent with the requirements of China's future education reform,and is consistent with the educational philosophy advocated by the new curriculum standard issued in 2018.The purpose of designing course teaching based on STEM concept is to improve the ability of learners to comprehensively apply knowledge and improve students' innovative thinking ability by designing interdisciplinary learning problems in the process of answering questions and solving problems.The research is mainly carried out in four stages:The first stage:On the basis of reading STEM and mathematics teaching design literature,we find out the STEM teaching design principles in line with high school mathematics,and learn from the predecessors' teaching mode,and compile the high school mathematics teaching design process under the STEM education concept.The second stage:According to the programmed teaching process,taking "the optical nature of conic curve" as the research content,"the design of reflection telescope" is created as the teaching situation,and the mathematics teaching design of senior high school under the concept of STEM education is designed.And select an experimental school high school grade two class to carry on the practice exploration.The third stage:through the interview method and the questionnaire survey method,the students in the class and the participating teachers are surveyed to evaluate theteaching effect,and the teaching design is modified according to the feedback results.The fourth stage:summary and recommendation.The whole research process mainly adopts design-based research methods,questionnaire survey methods,interview methods,etc.The “design-based research”method is different from experimental research,not “simple application and practice of theory”,but through”design”.Change learning environment,and on this basis,understand a future-oriented innovation action of learning.Through the investigation of the students and teachers in the class,it is found that the mathematics teaching design under the concept of STEM education is feasible.Although there are many shortcomings in this teaching,about70% of teachers and students agree with this teaching method.The main conclusions are as follows:First,mathematics teaching under the STEM education concept can expand the mathematics thinking of learners and stimulate the mathematics interest of learners.Second,mathematics teaching under the STEM education concept is conducive to the learner's in-depth understanding of mathematics,and helps learners to recognize the use of mathematics knowledge in life.Third,the mathematics teaching under the STEM education concept can enhance the comprehensive ability of learners' hands-on exploration,cooperation and exchange,and solving practical problems.
