With rapid development of science and technology and endless innovation,if our country want to improve the competitiveness in scientific research,we should develop educational concepts that can cultivate outstanding in science-technology talented person.The United States proposed STEM(Science,Technology,Engineering,Mathematics)education which composed by science,technology,engineering and mathematics and designed to cultivate students' comprehensive literacy in science,technology,engineering and mathematics.The STEM education values knowledge acquisition,methods,tools of use,combines innovative production process.Due to the above-mentioned advantages,researchers in China's academic and educational circles have carried out a lot of research on STEM education,trying to train a large number of outstanding in science-technology talented person as well.However,STEM education in China is still in first stage and faces the following status:(i)STEM teaching requires a large amount of capital investment that caused many schools cannot normally conduct it;(ii)Our STEM education puts too much attention on the learning and application of one certain technology;(iii)The instructional design of STEM education is too high or too low for our students.This has caused some students cannot receive STEM education,form the complete knowledge background through STEM education,and participate in engineering design.In response to the above problems,firstly,this article studied the STEM education concept through literature analysis,and explored the teaching model that is easy to implement in schools;then,combined with the Project-Based Learning method,it provided students with realistic problem situations and multiple learning tasks to help students have a rich knowledge background and improve their comprehensive literacy.Finally,detailed records of educational activities,combined with questionnaires and interviews to help teachers optimize the classroom,improve the teaching process to ensure that students conduct learning activities in moderately difficult engineering design,and are educational researchers Provide typical examples of high school physics instructional design based on STEM education concept.The research in this article explores a better way to cultivate students' multiple abilities,which will provide a new instructional model and new ideas for the comprehensive education of physics teaching in high schools in China,and contribute to the reform of physics teaching in high schools.
