Nowadays,the new scientific and technological revolution has triggered the transformation of the global economy.Vigorously cultivating high-quality and innovative scientific and technological talents has become a strategic appeal for countries to win international competitive advantages.However,the traditional knowledge-based education model has clearly failed to meet the needs of talent development.STEM education has become a new starting point for talent cultivation,and the goal of educating people has gradually shifted to the 21st century.Therefore,this study takes design thinking as the starting point,tries to construct the STEM teaching mode and optimizes it in practice.This study sorts out a large number of relevant literatures and clarifies the core characteristics and development trends of STEM education.Based on the comparative analysis of the different orientations of current design thinking in education,this paper improves the traditional design thinking-based teaching model according to the needs of teaching practice,and combines the specific elements of teaching design to construct design thinking oriented STEM teaching model.Then through action research,the STEM teaching model based on design thinking is applied to the teaching practice of out-of-school education,and the teaching mode is continuously optimized and improved in classroom action,observation and reflection.In conclusion,this study is based on 21st century literacy from the perspective of design thinking,and constructs a suitable teaching model framework for STEM interdisciplinary teaching,and further optimizes the teaching mode in the practice of out-of-school education providing a reference paradigm for frontline teachers.
