Social development is the premise of forming good interpersonal relationship between individuals and others,and also the basis of maintaining stable operation of social order.Infancy is the key period of social development,according to Piaget's theory of cognitive development stage,children's thinking specific image,the understanding of things rely on intuitive graphics and operable objects.Therefore,the narrative way of picture books with complementary pictures and texts agrees with children's thinking characteristics and is an effective carrier to develop children's sociality.However,the practical application of the situation is not yet known.This research is mainly based on questionnaire survey,interviewing method,observation method,documentary method and other research methods.The writer selects 12 kindergartens in Q city as the research object,carries on the questionnaire survey and the interview to their teachers,and also took advantage of the opportunity to take students to carry on classroom observation in 3 kindergartens,and explores and analyzes the application of picture books in kindergarten social teaching.Some of the following problems were found: First,Preschool teachers' understanding of the teaching value of picture books in the social field needs to be improved.Secondly,preschool teachers do not have a comprehensive understanding of social theme picture books,have difficulties in choosing picture books,and do not have a thorough interpretation of the content of picture books;Thirdly,kindergarten teachers use the traditional teaching mode in the application of picture books,and the teaching method is single.In view of the above problems,this study puts forward the following suggestions: strengthen the kindergarten teachers' attention to the picture books,improve the kindergarten teachers' literary literacy,correctly choose the picture books to carry out Social teaching,and carry out the Social teaching of picture books in a variety of teaching methods.
