Plane geometry plays an important role in middle school mathematics and is one of the required contents.Through geometry learning,students can not only recognize the variety of mathematical graphics in mathematical geometry,but also improve their aesthetic ability and the ability to find beauty.Because of the inherent properties of geometry and the close relationship between algebra and geometry,the change of geometry content is more colorful.Therefore,in the teaching process,we should also grasp the essence of mathematical plane geometry knowledge,pay attention to the student's learning cognitive process,at the same time,we should actively create a suitable teaching situation,and also pay attention to the stimulation and maintenance of student's own learning interest and motivation,so as to facilitate the further development of mathematical teaching in plane geometry and the mastery of student's learning.Teaching design is a kind of scheme design which integrates all aspects of factors and resources,such as teaching content and teaching environment,etc.It has a certain standard,according to the established direction and goal to achieve teaching results.To a large extent,it is a comprehensive program.How to make the teaching design more feasible and the teaching effect more prominent is also a problem worthy of further discussion.This requires teachers as the forerunner of education not only to be able to read and do teaching design,but also to design more optimized teaching process.In the vast sea of research on student's learning psychology,the ARCS Motivation Model proposed by American psychology professor Keller is an effective motivation model for stimulating and maintaining students' learning motivation.The model is composed of four dimensions: attention,relevance,confidence and satisfaction.Under these four dimensions,the relevant strategies emerge as the times require.Applying these strategies to teaching practice can effectively motivate and maintain student's learning motivation,improve the effect of mathematics teaching,and obtain better experience of mathematics learning.Therefore,this research will take the plane geometry related teaching content as the carrier,aiming at the weak link of middleschool students in mathematics learning,combining with the related motivational strategies of the arcs motivational model to carry out the teaching design research that can effectively motivate students' learning motivation,which is worthy of practice and exploration.In this paper,based on a large number of theoretical and practical research methods,combined with various factors,according to the arcs questionnaire development theory developed by Guo Dejun,Ma Qingxia,etc.A questionnaire is developed to investigate the current situation of learning motivation of senior high school students in my practice school in four dimensions and related content of plane geometry According to the survey data analysis results,the weak dimensions of learning motivation of senior high school students in the emerging stage are obtained,and the motivation strategy of the arcs motivation model is combined with the specific teaching content of plane geometry to reasonably integrate the teaching design.After the implementation of targeted teaching design,starting from the actual situation of the students,focusing on the weak dimensions of the students,we should make appropriate repeated emphasis,fully mobilize the sensory participation of the students,so as to better implement the motivational strategies of the model in the teaching link.After the test,we analyze the experimental data again,and come to the conclusion that the arcs motivation model can help to maintain students' mathematics learning motivation,which undoubtedly has a positive impact on mathematics teaching classroom and mathematics teaching design.
