research conclusions are as follows:(1)The setting of physical education teaching objectives in the amateur basketball training institutions for adolescents in Shanxi Province shows diversified characteristics,but still takes sports skills as the most important teaching objectives,and the goal of basketball participation and habit cultivation is insufficient;the teaching organization form is mainly collective teaching,and the organizational forms of level teaching,gender teaching and learning section teaching are seldom used.(2)There are some defects in the course content setting of the amateur basketball training institutions for teenagers in Shanxi Province,such as the lack of tactical learning and rule learning;the coaches are still relatively traditional in the selection of teaching methods,the new teaching methods are still not widely used,the passive tendency of the students in the whole learning is more serious,and the reform of teaching methods is imperative.(3)The number of male coaches in amateur basketball training institutions of Shanxi Province is far greater than that of female coaches;the teaching age of coaches is generally low;the educational background of coaches is low;the application of modern teaching methods by coaches is not ideal,mainly due to the lack of relevant equipment and the backward teaching concept;the teaching plans used by coaches
