Object: To investigate the level of mindfulness,self-esteem,resilience and social adaptation of migrant children, and to compare the differences between migrant children and urban children in these factors. To explore the relationship among mindfulness,self-esteem,resilience and social adaptation, and to identify the internal influencing mechanism among the four factors.Method: The questionnaires used include Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale,Rosenberg's Self-esteem Scale, the Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescent,as well as Social Adaptation Scale for Children and Adolescents.1485 students were surveyed in this survey.Result:(1)The level of mindfulness(p<0.05),self-esteem(p<0.001)and social adaptation(p<0.001)of migrant children are significantly lower than urban children's.(2)The mindfulness of migrant children shows significant differences in gender(p<0.05)and grade(p<0.001),the self-esteem of migrant children shows significant differences in inflow duration(p<0.01),and there are significant differences in gender(p<0.01),grade(p<0.05)and inflow duration(p<0.001)of migrant children.(3)There is significant positive correlation between mindfulness,self-esteem,resilience and social adaptation of migrant children(p<0.001).(4)The mediating effect of self-esteem and resilience between mindfulness and social adaptation of migrant children is significant, accounting for 27.03% and 23.06% of the total effects respectively(p<0.001).Self-esteem and resilience play a sequential mediating role between mindfulness and social adaptation of migrant children, with the indirect effect accounting for 12.03%(p<0.001).Conclusions:(1)migrant children perform well in mindfulness,self-esteem,resilience and social adaptation, but remain at a disadvantage compared to urban children.(2)There is significant positive correlation between mindfulness,self-esteem,resilience and social adaptation of migrant children.(3)The mindfulness of migrant children can directly affect their social adaptation, and it can also indirectly affect their social adaptation through three ways: mindfulness → self-esteem → social adaptation, mindfulness → resilience → social adaptation, mindfulness → self-esteem → resilience → social adaptation.
