Objective: To investigate the nursing undergraduates in a college ' emotional intelligence,perceived stress and adaptability,and analyzed the relationships between them,so as to provide theoretical basis for nursing educations and managers to improve the quality of education.Methods: A total of 270 nursing undergraduates in a college were recruited by simple random sampling method and were investigated with General information questionnaire,Emotional Intelligence Scale,Chinese version perceived stress scale and College Student Adaptability Inventory.Results:1.The emotional intelligence of nursing undergraduates was above average level(3.63± 0.47),the age,the grade,the mother's occupation,the education level of the main caregivers and the number of part-time jobs had an impact on the emotional intelligence;the perceived stress was below average level(2.84±0.42),the education level of the main caregivers and the reasons for attending nursing school had an impact on the perceived stress;and the adaptability was above average level(3.48±0.51),the children's type,the grade,the number of school clubs,the number of school activities and the reasons for attending nursing school had an impact on adaptability.2.Multiple regressions were used to analyze the factors that influencing emotional intelligence,perceived stress and adaptability.The results showed that the influencing factors of emotional intelligence were the grade.The main influencing factor of the perceived stress was the education level of the main caregivers.The influencing factors of adaptability were the number of school clubs,grade and type of children.3.The emotional intelligence was negatively correlated with the perceived stress;the emotional intelligence was positively correlated with the adaptability;the perceived stress was negatively correlated with the adaptability.4.The Perceived stress played partial intermediary role in the relationship betweenemotional intelligence and adaptability and the mediating effect accounts for the total effect is 22.65%.Conclusion:The emotional intelligence and adaptability of nursing undergraduates was above average level,the stress perception was lower than the average level,and need to be improved.The emotional intelligence and perceived stress and adaptability was closely related,and perceived stress could mediated the relationship between emotional intelligence and adaptability.
