With the advancement of China's economic development and urbanization process, the flow of population between urban and rural areas and between regions has become a noticeable economic and social phenomenon. This is not only because of the huge size of China's floating population, but population migration brings changes in the allocation of resources in different regions. What's more, the important impact of population migration on micro-families and macro-regional economic society will profoundly affect the coordinated development of China's regional economy and the fight against poverty.Wage is an important factor influencing the choice of population mobility.According to the data of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, the income of employed migrants increased from2,353 yuan in 2011 to 4,503 yuan in 2016.So what are the internal driving forces driving the wage growth of the floating population? Based on the theory of human capital, this paper analyzes the impact of human capital on wage changes of floating population with different household registrations. The results of the study have certain guiding significance for guiding the floating population from the sources of wage changes to improve relevant factors, and then raise the wage level,to promote urbanization, achieve regional coordinated development, and help the floating population out of poverty. The thesis combines theoretical analysis and empirical analysis.First,it introduces the human capital theory, job competition theory, and wage determination theory in detail, and concludes that human capital improves the wage level of the floating population by enhancing the ability of workers and promoting workers to obtain higher positions.Secondly, this thesis takes the China Migrants Dynamic Survey in 2013 and 2017 as the research object, and constructs OLS regression model and RIF regression model to investigate the impact of human capital on floating population wages. The empirical results show that education level and work experience have a significant positive effect on the wages of migrants, while the health status has a large difference in the wages of migrants with different household registrations and different income classes.Afterwards,Oaxaca-Blinder decompositionwas performed on the basis of OLS regression, and RIF decomposition was performed on the basis of RIF regression. The main conclusions of this article are as follows:(1)The wage change of urban floating population is greater than that of rural floating population, and the price effect is the main reason for the change of wages of floating population at the average wage and at each quantile.(2)Changes in education level have a positive effect on the rise of floating population income at any of the quantiles, and have a greater effect on the increase of wages of urban floating populations;changes in work experience have affected the income of floating population at each quantile The improvement has a positive effect, but the increase in the income of the floating population in the rural and urban high-income classes is more obvious;the contribution of changes in health status to the wage changes of the floating population is close to zero.(3)The change of the return on education has a positive contribution to the change of wages, but roughly speaking, the return on education of the floating population of the rural high-income class and the urban low-income class has a great change;the change of the return on health has a positive contribution to the change of wages, and the change of the return on health of the floating population of the rural and urban low-income group has a greater change;except for the individual quantile, the return on work experience The contribution of the change in salary is negative.Based on previous studies, the article innovates from three aspects: research content, index selection, and research objects.First,in terms of research content,we choose wage changes as the starting point for research,to study the wage changes of floating population from the perspective of time, and to obtain the essential factors that promote the rise or fall of wage levels, thereby effectively increasing the wage levels of floating population.Second,in the selection of indicators, this paper selects the education level, experience, and health status, and examines the impact of human capital on wages and wage changes of floating populations of different income classes. In addition, this paper also considers the heterogeneity of the floating population with different household registrations, divides the floating population into urban floating population and rural floating population, and separately studies the impact of human capital on wage changes of floating population with differenthousehold registrations.
